I've been playing 9s most of my life and figured I'd try a set of 10s just for a change and it turns out that it's sort of a give and take type thing. I can feel the difference in that playing them on my Strat does require more pressure especially when playing any kind of bar chord and bending the strings. That's the bad part (For an old man anyway). The good part is that is can hear the difference in the thicker strings and the black color is great.
