I have been using rotosound strings for years, ever sence I heard some of my rock heros like not only Billy, but also Rudy Sarzo, Steve Harris, I found them to have a good grip when I want to realy hammer on them and crisp when just rolling along. These strings are heavy where you need them and light were for me it seams almost faint when playing higher notes get a better punch when playing
Unbelievable tone. Still the best tone I ever heard from bass strings. Once you put them on and start playing, they put you in that "zone". Fellow bassists know what I'm talking about. The zone where you think you can touch the sky. Been using Rotosounds for decades and they are still the best for that raw incredible complex tone.
I have been using Rotosound Strings since 1976. I Tried Many other strings but, Nothing Came Close to Rotosounds. I started using the Billy Sheehan Rotosound Strings back in 1989. I Always used Rotosounds for All of my basses. When I added a HipShot D-Tuner to one of my basses, I needed a heavier E string. Being a HUGE Fan of Billy's and also owning 2 Yamaha Attitude Basses, I wanted to try out Billy's Own Signature Series Strings. I LOVED THEM FROM THE FIRST NOTE I PLAYED!!! I now have ALL of my Basses set up for Billy's BS-66 Strings. IF YOU WANNA PLAY LIKE THE BIG BOYS, YA GOTTA HAVE THE TOYS!!! These Strings are GREAT!!! Anything Less than ROTOSOUND just WON'T CUT IT.
