This was my first electronic kit. I was a little skeptical of the idea of using a non-acoustic set, especially the cymbals. I got this particular set because i thought the hi-hat was a little more natural. Overall, it sounds great and has a good feel and sound bank is large enough to get a wide variety of sounds. It does take some getting used to...especially when playing heavy with rim shots. The volume of the sound coming out of the headset is lacking without outside amplification. The knocks i have on it are the racking system. I never liked the idea of rounded racks. The square is much more stable. the snare mounting is my least favorite thing. i play on carpet, but i have to fix that because without spiking your pedals down the bass trigger doesn't seem to be very stable stand alone. overall, i think this is a solid kit. the DW hardware is solid and the pads feel great to play on.

Amazing Chops...

By Tom McCormack

from Nashua, NH

The TD 20 is amazing but the price is out of most players reach. The TD 12 was just right a couple of years ago, but now the 9KX2-S V Tour set is the value play today. This kit sounds amazing and has great dynamics to keep your chops tight. The only down side is the smaller kick surface is limiting for double kick players.

i love these drums. i use them for practice and for the studio. Great for when you have to keep the noise down. Run it through superior drummer or not and get some great studio quality sounds. Love the grooves. Love the feel. Get em

Great Set

By Amire

from Amityville NY

Seems like a great set. However, it should have been built a little more compact. The frame seems pretty wide.
