I got this set for Christmas and couldn't be happier with it. I did a lot of research/comparison shopping with the other brands and finally settled for the Roland TD4 model. Setting them up was a breeze,it took a little longer for me being I am left handed, but everything worked out great.I have to say playing acoustic drums for 30+ years I was a little skittish of making the switch to electronic drums, but all I can say is they play and sound great. With a little experimenting and tweaking the different settings, I have really come up with some great sounding kit's, I split the ride triggers to give me an extra crash which is a plus. The bass drum pad has plenty of room for my double pedal if that is a concern .I also matched it with the Simmons DA200S amp and an ART Headamp4 for my headphones, and I can say that everything is working flawlessly!! I will sign this off with for the money this is a great kit, maybe not perfect, but what is!!!!!!Thanks Guitar Center for hooking me up!!
Just purchased one of these kits from the local GC and couldn't be happier. The mesh pads feel like actual drum heads, when you adjust them to your liking and they also respond very well. True, the set only has 25 drum kits, but the ones programmed into it are all I need. Easy to use and a blast to play. I have used Alesis SR-16's and Boss Dr. 670 drum machines in the past. I have to admit that they are good machines, but what I like about this kit is that the cymbals decay like actual ones. They don't sound fake, like on the drum machines. In all, I would recommend this kit to the active musician and home recording enthusiast. They really record well, and very easy with the 2 main outputs plugged directly into the board. Give them a try at your local Guitar Center and see for yourself.
