For over a decade, Roland's revolutionary V-Drums have lead the industry in expressive sound quality and incredible playability. With the introduction of the SuperNATURAL-powered TD-30K V-Pro Series, the electronic drum set reaches a new pinnacle in drumming performance. SuperNATURAL sounds with Behavior Modeling, along with advanced sensing technology, provides a new level of expressive sound quality and playability, resulting in an instrument that reacts and responds to all the subtleties, nuances, and dynamics of a drummer's technique. In addition, USB audio-playback functionality has been added to expand the performance palette. For the stage or for professional recording, the new V-Pro is truly a complete and natural drumming experience.

TD-30 Drum Sound Module with SuperNATURAL Sounds
Powered by SuperNATURAL sounds and Behavior Modeling, the TD-30KV offers superior sound quality and natural response. From rim shots, rolls, flams, even ghost notes on the snare to dramatic crash hits and sustained cymbal swells, every nuance is accurate and smooth. For spatial depth, a dedicated Ambience fader gives you immediate control over lush room ambience and overhead-microphone simulation.

Immense Know-how and Advanced Sensing Technology
The 12-inch PD-125BK mesh V-Pad for snare drum features Roland's amazing dual-triggering technology, resulting in accurate and even sensing between the head and rim. The PDX-100 10-inch mesh head V-Pad for toms provides a dual-mount option for increased setup versatility.

Natural Triggering with Double Pedal Support
The KD-120BK 12-inch V-Kick Trigger Pad offers fast, natural kick-drum triggering and is compatible with double bass pedals (sold separately). The head tension can be adjusted to get the right feel, and the legs feature rubber tips with hidden spikes that can be pointed downward for more stability.

*Kick pedal not included.

V-Hi-Hat for Realistic Feel
With eyes closed, drummers will think they're playing a regular two-piece hi-hat. But examine the innovative VH-11 floating hi-hat, and you'll see that it's actually comprised of one floating cymbal pad atop a fixed lower base. Great for fast setup and easy transport, the VH-11 mounts on conventional hi-hat stands, and provides a similar playing feel to a two-piece hi-hat.

*Hi-hat stand not included.

V-Cymbals for Crash and Ride
With optimized weight-balance and sensitivity, the V-Cymbal Crash provides accurate triggering and a natural swinging motion and for consistent crash performance, including choke control. The enlarged bow area of the V-Cymbal Ride enhances the playing feel, with accurate three-way triggering for edge, bow, and bell.

Compact, Solid Drum Stand
The MDS-12V drum rack has been specifically designed for the TD-30K. It provides flexible ball clamps for snare and toms, boom/straight options for the cymbal arms, and an internal cable management system for a clean professional look.

Seriously nice kit

By Daniel Bozman

Comments about Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit:

We bought this kit for our church in December 2012. Setup was simple and straightforward. The fact that it comes with hardware and cables already mounted on the rack is fantastic! The size and feel of the drums are very natural. My one disappointment would be the sound of the built-in kits. They're ok, but I couldn't find a good rock kit. However, after some minor editing of "Rock Solid," we achieved a great sound. The manual is very helpful. These drums are quite amazing. It's worth the money to invest in these if you are looking for a more natural sound and feel.

Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit

Comments about Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit:

Bought this kit 8/2/13 and so easy to set up, all cables are taged on where they go. And the sound is off the hook. And they are so easy to play, I've been playing for 40 years, and I've played a lot of different kits, but never one that played this good. I play like i'm 20 years old again. You will never get tired of this kit. Its like having 100's of kit in one. This set is so worth the money.

Comments about Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit:

Definitely exceeded my expectations - Playing on it at the store sealed the deal, but really getting down & dirty at home revealed just how easy this thing is to work with. Factory sets sound great - adjustments are easy too. This kit does not come with a hi hat stand - NOT A BAD THING - don't buy a cheap stand - get a good one just like you'd want for an acoustic set - yes it is that sensitive! Same with the Bass drum pedal. I would have preferred this kit came with another Tom and Cymbal, but they are available separately. I am used to playing on a big 9 piece Sonor maple kit and 6 pc Pearl Studio full Birch that both sound amazing - This Roland kit feels great playing and the sounds are great too!! (now I can choose different drums/sounds on the fly!!) Wife loves how quiet my practice time has gotten. The guys in the band and I are excited about being able to easily record our ideas via DAW/internet and work on them later. Best drum purchase ever!

    TD-30K vs TD-50K

Comments about Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit:

I recently belabored over the decision as to whether I should buy the Roland TD-50K or TD-30K electric drum kit. After having a chance to play each side-by-side, I decided to go w/ the TD-30K. While the key differentiating features, namely the 14" snare and 18" ride cymbal w/ serial ports are nice, I found it difficult to justify the cost delta. If you compare the kits in detail, the hi-hat, tom's & crash cymbals are identical. If you like the TD-50K's two floor tom configuration over the standard TD-30K's dual ride tom position, be advised you can easily move one of the TD-30K ride toms to a floor tom location.

Additionally, one could argue that the sounds produced by the TD-30K are actually better than those produced by the TD-50K. In my comparison, I found that to be the case. In my mind, the biggest reason for purchasing the TD-50K might be the ability to easily record your patterns with an audio recording directly to the SIM card. Again, hard for me to justify the difference. If you're debating between the two, save yourself some cash and go with the TD-30K…you won't be disappointed. It sound absolutely phenomenal, even w/ the standard 12" snare and 15" ride / crash cymbal. Believe me, they're not worth the difference Roland is asking.

Comments about Roland TD-30K V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit:

After purchasing and returning 5 electronic sets, this one is the keeper. You get what you pay for, and with the TD-30K you get quality, expandability and great sounds and edit-ability. Avoid cheap low and mid-range sets completely, and anything made by Alesis.

Complaints about machine gunning are the results of 2 factors—playing style and pad setup. The TD-30 sounds great out of the box, but not exactly to my liking. It is easy to edit sound parameters and customize kits to your liking. After playing cheaper sets, this is light years ahead in sound and quality.

I'm left handed, but found instructions on line for easy lefthand setup. Frame came prewired and was easy to set up. Set is very customizable and allows for an additional 5 pad inputs, separate outputs for drums, midi in & out, USB to computer connectivity and USB thumb drive plug.

Also has a 6 track sequencer containing general midi sounds... enough to create some backing patterns to jam to. To test it out, I plugged my midi keyboard in and created several patterns in one afternoon. The sequencer is somewhat limited but works fine for recording drum performances, or creating backing patterns.
