Overview

A mid-level kit for home or studio, TD-25KV is equipped with a sound engine derived from the flagship TD-30 and delivers all the acclaimed expressiveness that makes Roland' top-line V-Drums the undisputed choice of pro players everywhere. A streamlined interface makes it easy to create personalized kits, while the built-in audio recording function lets you capture drum performances for evaluation and sharing. Other premium features include mesh-head pads for a natural feel, positional snare sensing for enhanced expression, and the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat for playing with authentic hi-hat techniques.

Unrivaled Sound and Expressiveness
The TD-25KV delivers a superior drumming experience, thanks to Roland' SuperNATURAL technology with Behavior Modeling inherited from the flagship TD-30. The sound engine responds naturally and organically to your playing in every way, providing the dynamic, interactive feel that' essential for reaching the highest levels of musical expression. From rim shots, rolls, flams, and ghost notes on the snare to dramatic crash hits and sustained cymbal swells, every nuance is detailed, accurate, and ultra-smooth.

High-End Feel and Playability
When you sit down at the TD-25KV, you™ll enjoy expressive playability that rivals high-end V-Drums sets. There' a full compliment of mesh-head pads for the legendary V-Drums feel, with positional sensing on the snare pad that provides subtle, organic tonal changes depending on where the pad is struck. The cymbals have a natural swinging motion and support chokes, bow/edge sounds on the crash, and bow/edge/bell sounds on the ride. Mounting on a standard hi-hat stand, the VH-11 V-Hi- Hat features open/closed motion and bow/edge sounds for executing traditional playing techniques to perfection. Last but not least is the KD-9 Kick Pad, which offers a natural-feel cloth head and rock- solid response.

Call Up Kits and Start Playing Immediately
With its no-nonsense interface, the TD-25KV' sound module lets you enjoy playing great sounds for any music right away. Easy to grab while holding sticks, the large center dial allows you to quickly select kits based on music styles such as standard, rock, jazz, electronic, and others. After you™ve selected a style, press the dial to toggle between different kit variations. Next step? Start playing!

Customize Kits for Your Personal Style
The TD-25KV makes it simple to edit sounds to suit your playing touch or a specific style of music. Just hit a pad to call up the sound assigned to it, and then use the module' knobs to select instruments and tweak tuning, muffling, and levels. Handy shortcuts greatly speed up tom editing, allowing you to assign sounds and change the muffling and tuning for all the toms at once. Your changes are saved automatically as you edit, eliminating the need to fuss with extra steps. If you don™t like your most recent tweaks, you can easily undo them and return to where the kit was at when you first selected it.

Play Along with Tracks and Record Audio Performances
Want a little jamming music to play along with? Just load up a USB memory stick with favorite WAV/MP3 songs and get lost in playing for hours. In addition to normal playback, you can loop sections you™d like to work on, or slow the playback speed to more easily learn fast fills and articulations. Alternately, you can plug a smartphone into the audio input and drum with songs from your music library or the web. It' also possible to record your drumming performances (along with music playback) as audio files to a USB memory stick, offering a great way to evaluate your playing and share your drumming with friends and music producers. The sound module is equipped with a USB host port as well, providing a convenient connection for recording audio and MIDI data directly into DAW software.

Kick pedal, hi-hat stand and drum throne are not included. Includes setup guide and drum key.

Hi, I play drums for a baptist church and we have recently upgraded our gear to everything digital. All of our instruments besides guitars have been Roland brand. Our church had mentioned getting me a set of a the new Roland TD-25kv kit as part of our transition. I was skeptical at first because Ive tried a td-25 in the past and the kit was fantastic but I was more on the lines of an acoustic sound. The kit finally arrived and we hooked it up to the system and I can't tell you how blown away I am at the amazing quality and features of this kit. One of my tecs were playing around with it and to me it sounded like an acoustic set from a concert. This kit has so much to offer for such a low price. Of course I was still skeptical because of the small size and didn't think I would be comfortable hitting the small drum pads. That is probably the most comfortable kit Ive ever played on. For all the people that have their own studio and has a hard time micing the kit to your taste First off I feel your pain lol but this kit is great and is made for especially studio production. Im officially been converted to digital drums especially if they are from Roland. Hope this review helped and thank you Roland!

Comments about Roland TD-25KV V-Tour Drum Kit:

So far I've used the kit for quiet practice in the house with headphones. The sound is fabulous.
I've also been making recordings with play along mp3's. It's great to hear what I actually sound like on so many different minus-one tracks that are available. For me, this is the greatest thing to come along for in-house practicing. I've always had to play on practice pads or with mesh heads in the house, and wait for live gigs to play my real kit. The TD25KV has all the feel and sound of a real kit. It's awesome.

Comments about Roland TD-25KV V-Tour Drum Kit:

I am an old guy, never thought I would use or want an electric kit but got one to try out and WOW it is really fun to play on and it really does sound pretty good and what is REALLY great about it is I can practice ANYTIME DAY or NIGHT and NOBODY can hear me. Took a while to dial in the sound I wanted and the cymbals are still a work in progress but now I can try different sounds at the dial of a button without having to buy or borrow different pieces to see how they might sound - I have been looking at getting some regular cymbals but wanted to hear them before I buy any - YEA!

Comments about Roland TD-25KV V-Tour Drum Kit:

Product is Awesome. High quality and sounds great, however the experience was terrible.
              1. I ordered in the store and had shipped to home - only did this since the coupon provided said it was valid for the Roland product, however want working on line.
              2. I went to store in Westlake CA to have them order and ship to my house. Rep - Steve - took over an hour to finalize the order. After completed the first attempt and handing me the receipt (which didn't have delivery or taxes shown on the document). I checked it over and realized some of the info was incorrect. He had to call his support team, only to be advised to reinput.
              3. Later I received online receipt and delivery was not free but $75 dollars which was not what we discussed. Called Steve and he took care of it.
              4. I also received 3 phone calls from the GC call center requesting additional info for completion of the financing. All were calling on the same thing. When I told them that someone already called on this, they apologized and made the update.
              5. Took 11 days to receive the kit.
eKit is awesome however this experience was a bit difficult.

Comments about Roland TD-25KV V-Tour Drum Kit:

I was torn between this and the Alesis Strike Pro. I'm very happy I went with the TD-25KV. You simply can't beat the quality control and durability of Roland. Everything triggers flawlessly. This kit can also be easily upgraded. Add a PD-128S as a 13" snare, move the existing PDX-100 over to the right side of the rack as a second floor tom, and you've got yourself a full sized drum kit with positional sensing on the snare (and 10" toms). If you plan to record using VSTs or AUs, this is the kit to go with (unless you can afford a TD-50K).

These are the first electronic drums I've purchased or played. They sound great and have good options out of the brain computer. Be sure to pick up your own kick peddle(s), high hat stand and throne. Some are pictured but only one little line describes they are not included. I only hope I can figure out how to get more life from the cymbals without tuning all the toms down so far.

Awesome right out of the box. Kit has an amazing capacity for personal sound modification. The programed kits are great. The only fault I encountered was that the USB playback control is fussy in that it will not recognize cheap drives and will not accept anything beyond 32MB. I bought a Sandisk and all was well. I used Roland's email support center to help resolve this issue, so this is a common problem. Oh, and the unit will not recognize anything except MP3 and WAV formatted music files. You will have to covert MP4 files if you're downloading from iTunes.

Comments about Roland TD-25KV V-Tour Drum Kit:

Being an experienced multi-instrumentalist, I was tired of beating pads and keys, so I decided to get a cheap e-drum kit. I first considered the Alesis Nitro, but ended up going with the Forge kit. I had that for a month but could not handled the cheap rubber pads. I was triggering Native Instruments VTS so I wasn't concerned at the time about sounds. I upgraded and went with the Alesis Crimson. I played that for about a month and returned it. The cymbals were horrible, the sounds sound engine was horrible (same as the Forge). Maybe you could squeeze one Okay kit out of it if you spent hours. The crosstalk was unacceptable and it could not handle 32 notes. The mesh pads were also questionable as foam rods run vertically and make contact with the mesh heads. If one were to ever change the mesh heads, it would no doubt be a nightmare. As far as the pad responsiveness, it felt ok. All along, I knew that the Strike pro was coming out, but my experience with Alesis products was anything but stellar. I was in need of tested and proven e-drum kit that sounded great, had a great build and was responsive, so I decided to get the TD-25kv.

I've had it now for 3 weeks and I must say, the more I play it, the more I want to. It just sounds and feels great. I was aware of the TD-25's shortcomings (inability to assign separate head and rim sounds, limited number of kits, stereo outs), but I don't feel the need to assign a cowbell to a tom rim. I actually want and play the rims of the drums, so it was more realistic. Closing my eyes when I play this is like being behind a real drum set. Some have commented on machine-gunning toms — any e-kit will give you that, depending on how you've set up your pads and how you play. I've spend some time programming and tweaking the setup of the kits and it plays and sounds great.

You really get what you pay for, and with this set, it was worth it. I do not regret waiting for the Strike Pro. I don't want to be one of the first to own a lemon.

I live in a townhouse and wearing the headphones so I don't bother the neighbors. Great sound and love the features. I played professionally for many years. Now I just play at home for the fun of it and to keep up my skills. Couldn't ask for a better fit with this kit, plus the great price.
