Overview

With mesh V-Pads all the way around, the Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set lets drummers sink their sticks into the best-feeling pads in the business. The TD-12 module is an upgrade from the previous TD-8, sharing the same stunning sound quality as the flagship TD-20. It's loaded with over 500 percussion sounds and 262 backing instruments to deliver the flexibility you need. Incorporates the VH-11 natural-feel floating hi-hat (mounts on optional stand). An ultrarealistic feel comes courtesy of features like snare/cymbal interval control that changes sound based on the speed of your strokes. The snare pad has been enlarged from 8" to 10", and features positional sensing. The new MDS-12BK Drum Stand has advanced gripping clamps on pipes and conceals cables.

TD-12 Percussion Sound Module

With the same stunning sound quality as the flagship TD-20, the new TD-12 drum module provides hundreds of expressive instruments and play-along sequences. Many of the sounds are COSM-modeled for the ultimate in expression and realism. It has the same large, icon-based LCD as the TD-20, and is housed in a roadworthy metallic black chassis with a user-friendly array of buttons, controls, and mix sliders. 12 trigger inputs are provided, plus 4 audio outputs and MIDI I/O.

VH-11 V-Hi-Hat

The innovative new VH-11 floating hi-hat is comprised of one floating cymbal pad atop a fixed lower base. It feels like a regular 2-piece hi-hat and mounts on conventional hi-hat stands (not included).

PD-85BK/WT V-Pads

The new 8" dual-zone V-Pads feature the latest dual-triggering technology, resulting in more consistent and accurate sensing between the head and rim. Built tank-tough and ready to take a pounding.

KD-85BK/WT V-Kick Trigger Pad

The solid, great-feeling mesh kick pad has improved pad cushioning, and can accommodate double bass pedals. Torture-tested for quality assurance, it has the stamina and stability to handle the toughest poundings.

MDS-12BK Drum Stand

Mount your V-Drums in style and with stability! Featuring Roland's sturdiest grip clamps, this rock-solid rack lets you play with confidence knowing that your pads will remain locked in position. Cables can be concealed inside the pipes. Open-leg design makes hi-hat placement more convenient, and the wide design lets you easily expand your kit. Optional PM-3 satellite speakers can be mounted on the center poles without the need for boom clamps (speaker bases are required).

Ups and downs

By Drummerguy127

from Manchester

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

I have had this set for about 7 months. I needed to upgrade to a better set, and after trying it out, thought it was for me. I overall am very pleased with the quality. The heads are so responsive, and the variety of kits keeps things interesting. The feel takes a while to get used to, and as a jazz player for my highschool have found some songs much easier on the electric ie:head rebound(which isn't good). Very quiet to use with headphones, and great quality hooked up to a sound system. Overall, I would rather have purchased a less expensive acoustic set, but am no doubt pleased with the performance.

Innovation

By Kode Bluuz Drummer (Ray Nelson)

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

I've been playing acoustic drums for over 40 years. I tried the roland elec pro V and loved them. I have a very expensive set now and I'm keeping it, but I will purchase this set. On my sets I will play it; however, there is a little different feel and sometimes drummers have to play accoustic drums at blues festival etc. and I don't want to lose my edge. I'm old school and faithful, but I love innovation.

ROLAND TAKES IT AGAIN

By JOHNN

from Undisclosed

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

Roland electronic drums are all so incredibly well made. They have great sound quality, and they seem to always have such great response, no matter how much you batter the pads. The feel isn't quite as real as an accoustic set, but its not hard to adjust to a set like this. This kit has some interesting new features for electronic drums, such as rim shots, and pad sensitivity. The harder you hit the pad, the louder the response, and the lighter you tap it, the lighter the volume of the hit. Its a great kit with great response. It is very pricey though however, but its well worth it because its a set that can be used in live performances. It doesn't create much feedback when going through the mixing board, and it seems to balance rather nicely between the toms and snare and bass and cymbals. I recommend this electronic set to any intermediate - professional drummers or recording studios.

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

This drum set is by far the Best I have ever used. Great sound Bank and opts.. I can find almost any Drum made in this kit and they are fully tunable -480 to +480. If you are looking for a good drum set to play with out all the neighbors complaining or just something to make playing gigs easy this is the one.. Traveling is a Breeze now unlike lugging around the full drum set?..

The Best You Can Get!

By DrumBum

from Staten Island, NY

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

This is the ultimate you will find for the money. It is a bit pricey but the sounds this produces are incredible. I had to get them to keep my neighbors from killing me and I'm so happy I did. I get to practice now anytime of the day or night! It takes some time to set up and learn but you will be very happy with these and your technique will definitely improve.

Bam Bam

By Hiyo

from los angeles, ca

Comments about Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set:

I played for about an hour on a demo set in guitar center. I have to say that the Roland TD-12S V-Stage Electronic Drum Set has a way better samples then the other Vdrums I tried, also the pads had much better rebound. Vdrums are great if you live in an apartment and don't want to make much noise, but still rock out. This set has a lot of features, midi, you name it. The price was a little out of my range, but you can't put a price on quality.
