Caveat: I'm not a recording engineer. I took a chance on Roland and purchased sight unseen - wanted a decent set of headphones for my V-drums to practice at night. I am really happy with the sound quality (lows, mids, and highs), from these headphones, as well as how comfortable they are. Can wear them for hours without discomfort. Little pricey but definitely worth it in my humble opinion.

Don't buy these if you are looking for studio headphones. I thought for the price they would be great for mixing but that is just not the case. very "airy" and "ambient" sounding. fine if your listening to your ipod and other music, i suppose.. but awful for making your recordings and mixes sound perfect. very comfortable, look amazing, and have a good sound, but just don't get the job done in the studio.

Comments about Roland RH-300 Stereo Headphones:

These headphones are pretty nice. I've had roland digital monitors for a while and they're really nice, so I figured I'd give their cans a try. They're really nice! I love the long cord, which has some decent jacketing and seems to be pretty resilient. They reproduce good bass and highs. They seem to have a pretty even response over the spectrum of sound, which is good for my application of tracking and mixing audio. Love em!

These are very comfortable and lightweight phones and they sound great, I am comparing to my other headphones which are AKG's and Audio Technica's overall I like these better!
            Standard Features
            Good build quality.
A little pricey compared to other phones of this caliber!

Whatever these lack in emenities they make up for in sound quality, they sound great!
Earpads are very comfortable, I wore these for 3 hrs. on a session the other day, and almost forgot I had them on!
Build quality is not fantastic but pretty good overall.
I think these phones are a tad over priced, I'm just sayin' ! My other phones are AKG and Audio Technica.

Comments about Roland RH-300 Stereo Headphones:

            I give these headphones a 10!!!!
Really soft on the ears for hours of your listening reasons(preferences).
NO coiled cord to put stresses upon extended distance use!
Lightweight (made with high grade super alloys, used in the best of NASA 's, equipment!)

            ENOUGH OF THE GLAM!

I use these in my studio, for the most perfect "Flat" setting on my input. I get the most beautiful, response of any phones I've ever used!

That means I can listen to real clearity from the beginning and adjust my EQ, any boost /loudnees/
compressor.....to the settings that I want and the public wants (very demanding).

            These are very "articulate" phones!

Turn It Down (u will here every nuiance)

Turn It Up, they don't go away!

THESE ARE NOT BEATS HEADPHONES! YOU WANT TO GO DEAF BUY BEATS

Want to listen to "MUSIC? These are great!
Great, have these in my studio now for 10 years!
Gave these a 10 cause they perform so well.
Remember this is a value rating, not a money rating.
These phones are expensive (using my values)!
In this case the use outweighs the investment(I found that out with this investme

I'm just a filmmaker who work on video and audio editing a lot and I have two pair of this headphone in my home studio. I love the design, built quality and the flat sound that it produces.

These are the best studio phones I've ever used

            By Steven Jacobson

            from Aspen, Co

Comments about Roland RH-300 Stereo Headphones:

Reluctantly, I purchased these without any other reviews, but my skepticism was immediately proven wrong. These Phones are the best I've ever used, owned, listened to etc. The price is pretty step, but you definitely get what you pay for. The sound is impeccable, Roland has outdone itself on this one, the comfort is outstanding, for anyone with large earlobes these are the phones, lightweight, listen for hours withouy dicomfort. Back to the sound. For studio work these perform magnificiently, every nuiance shows itself without any boost, couldn't tell any distortion when cranked up a little loud(although no need for the boost). Plus the recovery rate for a large number of fast tempo instruments is none existent. Thank You Roland for a fine piece of hardware
