Overview

Meet the Roland Micro Cube guitar amp -- small, loud, proud, and in true stereo. This little amplifier overachieves with serious bombast in a small body with a stereo power amp and four redesigned custom speakers.

Speaker Tech

The cutting-edge speakers used in the Micro Cube RX are custom designed and built specially for Micro Cube amps.

Stereo Power Amps

With two specially made power amps and four speakers contained in each, the RX amp produces an immersive, stereo sound. The true stereo engine also allows bass tones that defy the size of the cabinet.

Battery Drive

The Roland Micro Cube Rx amp can run on battery or AC power (AC adaptor included).

COSM Amps & Digital Effects

Guitarists and bassists have come to rely on Roland and BOSS for the best effects in the world. The Micro Cube Rx amplifier benefits from this world-leading technology, offering eight built-in COSM amps, six digital effects, three band EQ, and a chromatic tuner.

Immersive Stereo FX

The Micro Cube Rxs' onboard stereo effects benefit from Roland's decades of industry-leading R&D. Experience the amazing spatial depth and lush sound of the stereo Chorus and Reverb.

Like Roland's popular Jazz Chorus amps, the Micro Cube RXs' chorus effect takes advantage of the dual-speaker configuration to deliver the widest and most spacious chorus possible.

Rhythm Guide

The metronome is a music-student's best friend, but that numbing "clank, clank, clank" can get irksome. That's where the Micro Cube Rx's Rhythm Guide comes in handy. It's like having a drummer inside your amp. Choose from an assortment of groovin' patterns to practice with. Improve your timing while having a more enjoyable musical experience, or just have fun jamming along to the beats.

Outputs

The Phones/Recording output serves two purposes: Plug in a set of headphones and enjoy private practice with lush, stereo sound, or plug directly into a stereo mixer or recording device for accurate signal transfer directly from the Micro Cube Rx.

Inputs

The Roland Micro Cube Rx amp's line input lets you plug in a guitar, bass, or microphone. In addition, the stereo AUX input accepts input from an iPod, a CD player, or musical instrument so you can blend its signal with your own.

Features
  • Stereo power amplifiers and four redesigned 4" (10cm) speakers
  • Eight COSM amps, six digital effects, and chromatic tuner built in
  • Rhythm Guide function for practical rhythm training
  • Stereo AUX input for CD/MP3 player, Phones/Recording out

Awesome Amp

By

from Arlington, Virginia

Comments about Roland Micro Cube RX 5W 4x4 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is the best amp ever! Its small and portable, but has great effects and sound quality. Not only is it for guitars, but it can also be used to amplify microphones. On top of that, you can turn the volume up pretty high, but also plug in a set of headphones so as not to disturb others. I totally reccomend this amp!

Wow

By

Comments about Roland Micro Cube RX 5W 4x4 Guitar Combo Amp:

What a great amp. I'm used to tube amps, but I love this little guy, especially for it's small size and versatility. I can play loud enough for drums & vocals using AA batteries (provided the drummer is'nt banging too hard). Great chorus, great reverb, nice drum-machine for solo practice. This amp is perfect for basement jams (unless you are going for really loud metal/grunge distortion, in which case the 4" speakers may not quite do it). I may have to buy a Cube 80 too, if I get a more serious band-thing going. Roland, I'm very impressed.

Great little amp!

By

from Atlanta, Georgia

Comments about Roland Micro Cube RX 5W 4x4 Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed a portable amp to bring to camp with me, and I heard some really good things about this one. I liked it so much I decided to sell my other, bigger amp when I got back (Line6 Spider III 30). This thing must have been engineered in Japan or something because it has more than twice the capabilities of my Spider in a package about half the size.

Excellent Practice Amp

By

from Rockville, MD

Comments about Roland Micro Cube RX 5W 4x4 Guitar Combo Amp:

Portable, battery-powered with six AA, 30+ drums tracks (10 with 3 variations of each and a few decent (Chorus is EXCELLENT) effects and amp models- the Fender Black Face Amp and the Marshall Stack options are superior. Volume is more than enough for personal practice. If these are the features you want in a practice amp, buy this now. You can return it if you don't like it. You will. -KV
