Crisp sound and LOUD!

By Steve Truter

from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Roland KC-110 Battery-Powered Keyboard Amplifier:

I was really surprised when I plugged this baby in, just how crisp and clear the audio sounded. I use this amp for a portable DJ unit and I can tell you, this thing can get unbelievably loud. One minor downside, the unit rattles when there is a lot of Sub-bass in the music. You can hear a high-pitched buzzing sound as the unit shakes. Granted, I appreciate the amp wasn't designed with Dubstep in mind ! Also haven't tested the battery pack just yet.

Excellent for small venue outdoor use

By Ken Birmingham

from Norcross, GA

Comments about Roland KC-110 Battery-Powered Keyboard Amplifier:

This is a great amplifier for outdoor use in a venue far from AC power. It's 10 watts per channel on batteries, but you can crank it up with minimal distortion. Considering all its connectivity think of it as a battery-powered stereo PA system. I use with a keyboard that also plays SMF (MIDI) and the sound is outstanding. The two "woofers" in a reflex cabinet supply more than adequate bass. It's truly a "flat" amp which is what you need for a keyboard. If you put a battery-powered mixer on the front end you have a really flexible system. I would even use this amp in an indoor venue. And to top it off the amp can mount on a speaker stand, so it's also can fill in for a powered speaker. Roland has impressive products.

Comments about Roland KC-110 Battery-Powered Keyboard Amplifier:

Works great for solo guitar and vocals, (Taylor T5).
Full range response, excellent clarity, minimal distortion. Oh yeah, I also use it for keyboards, (Yamaha MX49). Reproduces the lows quite well for the power and speaker sizes. Also plug a Telecaster in using a Boss battery powered direct box. This amp is plenty loud enough for small gigs in restaurants and bars, and it's extremely light weight. Roland products have never let me down.

Comments about Roland KC-110 Battery-Powered Keyboard Amplifier:

I had high hopes for this amp. I met my needs as far as being portable but not very powerful, even using wall power, if you are in a medium a large sized room. I don't use it much as it was meant to be used if I make my gear outside of my home studio. I would probably not have gotten it if I knew it was under-powered.
