LCD is bad

By Ken

from Clearwater Florida

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

The board is great. Easy to use and can't complain about the sound. The LCD must be defective on these so if you own it long enough chances are it will have to be replaced. 130.00 part plus about 75.00 more in labor. If you can't see the screen you can't use it.

Great Synth

By Wes Muir

from Ramseur, NC

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

I bought this keyboard about a year ago after using the one my school bought and I still love it just as much as the day I got it. There are so many different sounds to work with and you can also tweak those sounds to make your own! This keyboard does it all and it comes with a great price!!!

Geoff Downes Plays One

By Steve Pietras

from Toledo Ohio

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

Being a huge Geoff Downes Fan, when I decided I wanted a new toy, the Juno-G was the answer. Geoff plays Roland on stage at his shows (including the Juno-G) and that was good enough for me. Once I got my personal unit, I liked it so much I bought one for the production department at the TV station I work for. I am a broadcast television engineer by trade and I love to tinker with sound textures. I have YET to get board with the Juno G. The Juno G manual does requre a bit of study to do some of the advanced things and for the non-tech savvy user this machine could be frustrating BUT if you relax and are not in a hurry to find an answer, you will be fine. I have built music beds for local TV commercials on the Juno G, it is a fine piece of gear. I recommend lots of memory (512), the K12 foot pedal, the PCMCIA flash card and reader. I also recomend the Fantom Tweakbook for you sound texture junkies.

Great Deal a Best Buy

By Tim

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

The Juno-G is an instrument that gets better and better. At first, you select a few patches, play some tunes, use the sequencer, then as you go through the many submenus, you realize how big of a monster this keyboard is. If you're a first time user, you may want to buy the DVD manual (sanctioned by Roland), which the Instructor David Wills goes through the machine step-by-step. 3 Hours later, you're up and running and that's just a start. Roland just announced v2.0 upgrade which allows use of the patch select "pads" as sampling pads, nice feature. So many things you can do with this, it's an amazing buy.

Awesome!!!!

By icecoldkeys

from No. Little Rock, AR

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

One of the best keyboards on the market! Great sounds, easy to navigate, light-weight, and can record vocal tracks!! The only downside is you have to buy more memory to use to full capacity. Other than that, it is an awesome keyboard for under $1000!

My first workstation...

By kayrod57

from Norwalk, CA

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

I must say, the Juno G grabbed my attention ever since I laid eyes on it... the sounds are just great (a lot of everything)... I have never had a workstation before, I have never even played with one but so far I am learning a lot... its very easy to navigate (once you get the hang of it-probably about a week of playing)... my ultimate goal is to be able to do the whole computer hook up and stuff... I dont think its too far away... If its fun & easy for a beginner like me, think what'll be like for a pro like you?!

keysofc

Comments about Roland JUNO-G Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard:

What can you say about a workstation with 128 voice polyphony, Roland flagship sound engine, over 1000 presets, sampling, MIDI + Sample playback sequencing, simplified external storage and much more for under $1000. And to think that I purchased my Juno G on a whim, for less than $800 from Guitar Center new in the box. I've been playing for over 20 years, and this box has a lot of value packed inside for the working musician. It's light weight, easy to carry and works well for those one keyboard gigs. If the only made a weighted 88 key model.
