Overview

The reinvented Blues Cube series launches the classic 1x12 combo amp into a new era, combining lush 6L6 tube sound and response with modern reliability and easy portability. Going far beyond modeling, Roland's Tube Logic design philosophy starts with carefully reproducing the inner workings of the revered tweed-era tube amp in every way, from guitar input to speaker output. Versatile clean and crunch channels can be used independently or combined for a complex range of tones, while variable output power modes let you dial in burning, full-throttle sound at any volume. Road-tested and fine-tuned with feedback from top players, the gig-ready Blues Cube delivers the sweet, magical tone and satisfying feel that makes a great guitar amp a highly expressive musical instrument.

Performance-Ready Amp
Ready for live playing, the Blues Cube Stage is equipped with 60 watts of power, plus a custom 12-inch speaker that's been specially designed for maximum tonal response with Tube Logic. The open-back cabinet features poplar plywood construction, which offers acoustically vibrant tone for solo or group performances.

Clean, Crunch and Dual Tone
The Blues Cube Stage has two independent channels—one voiced for cleaner tones, and the other for crunch. Each channel has its own Boost and Tone switches to shape the character. The Clean channel's single volume control dials in natural tube fullness and bite as the volume is cranked, while the Crunch channel's variable gain control provides a range of grit flavors from mild to aggressive. With the press of a switch, the unique Dual Tone mode lets you blend both channels together for an endless array of rich tones. And just like a vintage tube amp, the Blues Cube loves stomp-boxes, allowing you to further shape your personal sound by hitting the amp' front end with your favorite gain pedals.

Wide-Open Sound at Any Volume
Every tube-amp player knows that you really need to turn up the volume and push the output tubes to get the amp to sing at its best. The downside is that the sound simply becomes too loud for playing anywhere but the biggest stages—though that's certainly never stopped guitarists from trying! With Tube Logic, the Blues Cube authentically delivers the complex distortion characteristics of a pair of 6L6 output tubes and their interaction with the output transformer, with the sound getting richer and the feel becoming more dynamically responsive as the overall volume is increased. But with the Blues Cube's variable Power Control, you're able to enjoy this musical, cranked-up tone while matching the volume to any situation, from recording to rehearsals to nightclub gigs and beyond.

Comments about Roland Blues Cube Stage 60W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I have played guitar/bass for over 40 years, used all types and brands of amps. The best sounding amp/guitar was a 70s "frankentele" through Ampeg VT40 (4x10) 150w amp. just straight plug and play, no effects, pure tone, huge sustain and natural distortion. Of course after about 10 years and moving around a lot the "road" vibrations finally took toll on the tubes and power board. It was too expensive to repair so I bought a used Roland 60w Jazz Chorus -- that is the second best sounding amp (play Heritage LP through it). I then became a big fan of Roland products, have owned Jazz chorus, 60W blues cube Victoria model, micro cube and Roland effects pedals. This new BC60 stage does not disappoint -- I can get all the tone I expect and with a Boss ME25 I get great compression/sustain when I want it. Glad I bought this amp, just wish it came with a foot switch. But the GA-FC is only $100 so compared to other pedals a guitarist would buy not a bad deal.

Comments about Roland Blues Cube Stage 60W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I have played guitar/bass for over 45 yrs, have played through all type of tube and SS amps. My favorite was telecaster through Ampeg VT40 (150W with 4s10). A heck of a sound, just plug and play, no effects, always got good comments from band mates and other players. 2nd best I used is telecaster through Roland BC60 Victoria model Blues Cube. In fact I traded that amp in for this updated BC60 stage. The sound it just as great but with only one row of controls is much more streamlined and simplified. I wish it came with foot switch so I don't have to shell out $100 bucks, but a good foot switch is crucial to using all the capability of this amp. I am avid Roland user, love their products. I've played through Jazz Chorus 60W with Heritage LP -- I've played small venues with my Roland micro-cube. I am one who will stick with SS amps from now on, as long as Roland keeps making them. There are other good SS amps, but I can tell you I've tried Fender Champ 100W, Vox, and Marshal all of same or similar size/power. Roland soars above them all in tone, reliability, portability, versatility, oh yeah and the tone. Get one.

Comments about Roland Blues Cube Stage 60W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've been playing guitar/bass for over 38 years so I've played all types of instruments through all types of amps, tubes and SS. I switched to solid state a few decades ago when my Ampeg tube amp had too many problems to fix. I found a nice 60W Jazz Chorus. It was a totally different sound than the Ampeg, naturally, but I quickly learned the advantage of really clean tone. Fast forward a couple of decades -- was using a Fender SS Ultimate Chorus amp, which was very sterile sounding and the reverb and distortion were lifeless. Traded it in for cash, a couple years later saw a used BC60 Victoria model for $300 -- bought it, played it for a couple years and really loved it. Always got a lot of positive comments from other players. I decided to trade it in on new BC60 Stage because only one row of switches, the features are more streamlined. But it still has the fantastic Roland tone. I am a big fan of Roland products, have been for decades so I am a little biased I'll admit. But for my money this amp is equal to any tube amp and beats all other SS amps that I've tried. I compared in to the Fender Champion 100 SS, a Vox, and Fender Blues Deluxe tube amp. I'll be sticking with Roland from here.
