  • Solid, Flexible and Seamless

As reviewed by Felip jose on 4/15/2011

I'd done a lot of research getting into electronic percussion and everyone was raving about the Ddrum Pro triggers so that was the route I went to trigger off my SPD-S. in only two weeks the Ddrum trigger died - wire pulled out of the piezio. Yeah, I could have soldered it back, but it was brand new! Took it back, spent the extra $40 and got this. No, it doesn't have the metal casing that the Ddrum has, but the build is solid - and besides, who is hitting the opposite end of their drum that this is going to be at risk? Nothing is going to break on this thing. Also it responds so much better and works seamlessly with the SPD-S. Love it and recommend it.

  • Use It For Gigs And Hasn't Let Me Down Yet

As reviewed by Marty on 4/14/2011

I use this attached to a Pearl Maple Piccolo and use a Roland TD-5V head to generate the samples at live shows. I use this as well as its kick drum counter part the RT-10K. Both of them work flawlessly once you get the drum heads tuned up a little higher than normal. It took some trial and error, but once you've got it down, you've got it. If you're a metal drummer, this is a necessity if you want the modern drum tones you hear on all of the records at your shows.
