The MDC-10U Hatched Mount Clamp is for Roland V-Drums and other electronic percussion sets.
These clamps will break...it'a only a matter of time and tightening. They should be made out of metal, but unfortunately ROLAND must be cutting corners. Too bad. It's the weak link of an otherwise great product line. C'mon, ROLAND, get wise. I've ordered two to replace one broken one... see I don't trust them. They have been on order now for over a month... I wonder if I'll get them at all. They require regular tightening... then they break. Amazing that ROLAND doesn't have a website where people can communicate with them about their products... well...maybe not...

I do not like these clamps, they are junk. I have cracked two of them from over tightening. But thats the thing, they will not keep the snare tight enough, so you have to keep tightening them. Then they snap, I think they should be made out of metal instead of plastic. Or Roland should use a "box-frame" design on their stand instead of "tube." I wouldn't invest in these clamps. Maybe look into Gibralter Hardware.
