Great for the price and the purpose

I bought my KD-8 a few months ago and am very happy with it. I use a DM5, so the setup was fairly painless. I have used it exclusively since then and have no complaints. I have taken it with me to play live a few times with no ill effects, either. The appeal is the price, obviously, but the quality had me surprised. I think this pad is very good for everyday use for the normal drummer. It accomodated my double pedal with no problems, not even for triggering. The feel is responsive, and obtaining/maintaining speed in rolls is no issue. I wouldn't tour with it, but I would be more than willing to buy another of these pads.

Great value for the money

This gets the job done. The beater response well and has a great feel. The rubber padding seems to wear out pretty quick though, so if you plan on playing alot, you might want to think twice.
