Product Information

Powerful onstage performance at a friendly price.

Designed from the ground up for live performers, Roland JUNO-STAGE is a redesigned breed of synthesizer that every gigging keyboardist will love. Decked out with an extra-large display, USB backing-track functionality, a click output for drummers, dedicated performance knobs, hands-free patch select, instant master MIDI control functionality, and much more. Versatile, expandable sound set
Carefully crafted for the stage, the synth's factory patch set covers a wide range of essential sounds, including the flagship 88-key stereo multi-sampled piano. Every Roland JUNO-STAGE can also be expanded and customized via two Roland SRX Wave Expansion Boards (sold separately).

Instant access to sounds
Onstage, you need quick and effortless access to your patches. The JUNO-STAGE keyboard is equipped with Favorite buttons for instant access to banks of your most-needed sounds. Best of all, you can also recall your patches via a dual footswitch connected to a dedicated Patch Select jack, so you never have to take your hands off the keyboard.

Connect an optional FS-6 dual footswitch (item ID# 421384) to scroll up or down through patches and performances.

Live-performance control
Roland optimized its controllers for live performance, featuring easy-to-grab knobs for instant Master EQ and Reverb control. Located above the pitch bender, two assignable switches can be used for rotary organ effects, portamento on/off, and more.

Backing tracks via USB
It is also equipped with a USB port and Song Player function that enables direct playback and control of backing tracks from a USB key. You can play MP3, WAV, AIFF, and SMF files, and even use the Center Cancel feature to minimize pre-recorded vocals of audio data for karaoke-style performance.

Creating and editing audio Playlists is simple with the supplied Playlist Editor software for PC; the playlist can be viewed on JUNO-STAGE's display.

Instant master MIDI control
The MIDI Controller mode, complete with dedicated buttons, transforms JUNO-STAGE synthesizer into a MIDI master keyboard. In this mode, the Roland JUNO-STAGE allows program and control changes to be sent with a single touch. For computer-based track making: Cakewalk's SONAR LE software for PC is bundled.

Stage-friendly bonus features
An XLR mic input with phantom power (ideal vocal sing-along performance or driving the built-in vocoder), Click Output (for sending an audible click track to band mates onstage), and an external input for a portable audio player.

A great gigging keyboard !

The Juno Stage really is a great tool for cover band keyboardists. The vocoder adds alot of novelty to some of those worn out tunes (and it's fun). The sounds are 8 out of 10. The operating system is familiar if you're the Roland type. It comes with software that makes programming it fast and creative. Large LED lit front panel buttons are a welcome feature as well. The changes I would make if it were redesigned are performance related. The live sound shaping controls are wonderful but they are on the wrong side if you're soloing. The knobs are chrome topped, tall, and absolutely invisible on stage. It's hard to see what they are set to in flashing lights or dark clubs. I also miss the durable Roland on-board power supply. The plug-in supplies and jacks don't last forever in a rock and roll environment. Some bright orange paint, an extra power supply, and a little reaching will do for now. I'm thrilled Roland came up with the Juno Stage and recommend it. What a great idea - An affordable keyboard for the live keyboardist!

I Am Still Impressed

I thought this would be more of a toy once I picked it up, man was I wrong. What a nice piece equipment. I have had mine for 3 weeks. I was really happy after it only took me about an hour to learn how to program and start making my setting from the bands songlist and storing them in my favorites. USB drive really makes learning songs easy by being able to play along with them. And the piano sounds... play it and decide for yourself. Once I get my RG700GX, I'll be set. Thank to GC Indianapolis, for working with me to make a small dream come true.
