A studio's worth of sounds, sequencing, and audio recording in one amazing synth.

True to the JUNO tradition, Roland's JUNO-G is affordable and capable—a high-powered stage synth, and an extraordinarily capable workstation. With 61 touch-sensitive keys, the keyboard features the Fantom-X sound engine with its world-class sounds including an 88-note multisampled grand piano, onboard effects, onboard sound modifying controls, a spacious 16-track MIDI song recorder along with 4 channels of audio recording—a first for synths in its price class. The Roland JUNO-G's dedicated front-panel transport controls and mixer make the recording experience all the more user-friendly. The Roland synthesizer comes with over 1,000 built-in sounds, plus an SRX slot for expanding its soundset. Arpeggiator, chord memory, a large display, PC card slot for storage, USB port for MIDI and data transfers, 128-voice polyphony, built-in rhythm sets, pitch and modulation levers, D-beam controller, and dedicated controls for most functions make it easy to operate.

  • awsome workstation wow

As reviewed by captain electron on 11/24/2008

this unit has everything i need. i use it to play midi and kar files for karaoke nights at home. its a real boost over the pc synth and makes the music come alive. be sure to upgrade the memory and buy the memory card adapter. not compatible for 64 bit systems but will work with midi adapter.

  • LCD is bad

As reviewed by Ken on 9/3/2010

The board is great. Easy to use and can't complain about the sound. The LCD must be defective on these so if you own it long enough chances are it will have to be replaced. 130.00 part plus about 75.00 more in labor. If you can't see the screen you can't use it.

  • Geoff Downes Plays One

As reviewed by Steve Pietras on 4/6/2010

Being a huge Geoff Downes Fan, when I decided I wanted a new toy, the Juno-G was the answer. Geoff plays Roland on stage at his shows (including the Juno-G) and that was good enough for me. Once I got my personal unit, I liked it so much I bought one for the production department at the TV station I work for. I am a broadcast television engineer by trade and I love to tinker with sound textures. I have YET to get board with the Juno G. The Juno G manual does requre a bit of study to do some of the advanced things and for the non-tech savvy user this machine could be frustrating BUT if you relax and are not in a hurry to find an answer, you will be fine. I have built music beds for local TV commercials on the Juno G, it is a fine piece of gear. I recommend lots of memory (512), the K12 foot pedal, the PCMCIA flash card and reader. I also recomend the Fantom Tweakbook for you sound texture junkies.
