Can sound like a B3 Hammand with Leslie Cab

I just bought the JUNO D and I wasn't even looking to add another Keyboard to my home studio but when I heard the organ sounds in this beatiful keyboard with the Rotary Speaker effects on I was amazed at how great it sounded. I use a foot pedal to control the rotary speaker speed just like I used to do with my Leslie and I'm just loving this keyboard. It has lots of built in controllable effects, over 460 patches, and wave envelope attack, decay, and release controls. it also has a nice LFO controller and a lot of other cool features. You can't beat this sound for the price if you are looking for some good organ and piano sounds with additional synth sounds and drum patches.

THIS ROLAND

I'm surprised that anyone could write a negative review for the Juno D. Owning one myself,I have to say this keyboard is one awesome synth for the price(I paid 595.00). It has the ability to rearange any of the digital presets on the fly,with the analog knobs. The piano presets are a bit weak,but, use the analog side and wow what a Grand piano sound you get,and The organ preset is very close to that of a Hammond B-3!

Roland Juno-D

I bought this board last year. When I first got I first got it at 16 years old, I was very excited and impressed with the vast amount of sounds it posseses. However, I could never really find an authentic sounding electric or acoustic bass sound but the slap bass sounds excellent. The Rhodes sounds I found on here also sound very nice,in fact, many of them sound pretty close to a Piano Rhodes from the 70s. There are a number of features and I am still trying to figure out but I have heard and read that it is very useful for music technology. Lastly and most importantly to me, this keyboard has a horrible grand piano sound. I feel like I am playing a $30 casio whenever I play the grand piano sound. Along with the keys not being weighted which is rare for a 61 keyboard anyway, the keys require a lot of effort when pressing down upon them. Overall a decent keyboard but if you are looking for quality bass and piano sounds this keyboard is not the way to go.

Good keyboard with great features

The Juno-D was the perfect keyboard for me. I had a lot of songs finished, but they needed that extra something and the Juno-D did just that. The samples are good and it has good editing features. The D-beam rocks, its like a whole new instrument if you use it right. Even if you just use the JUNO-D for the D-Beam and a midi controller, its worth it!

Excellent for the money

I just purchased this keyboard and must say it is fantastic for the money. With keyboards not being my main instrument (guitar player for 40 years)it's taking some time to figure this thing out (128 page instruction manual), but it has excellent sound and will do anything that I will ever need it to do. I gave it all 5's but they could make the manual easier for a novice to understand. Other than that, I would recommend the Juno D to anyone looking for a versatile keyboard with killer synth patches.
