Product Information

Specialized features plus fresh rhythms, sounds, and effects!

The Roland HandSonic 10 is more affordable and streamlined than its big brother the HPD-15 (441917 - see customer products box), yet it offers the same great pad response that made the original HandSonic so popular, along with some sensational features and a fresh sound set. New Sounds & Patterns

An all-new collection of sounds has been created for the HandSonic 10; approximately 400 high-quality instruments are onboard. All of the percussive essentials have been included — congas, bongos, tabla, djembe, cajon, etc. — as well as melodic percussion, drum kit, special effects, and more.

Sensitive Surface

Whether you're laying down the most delicate finger rolls or the sharpest slaps, the HandSonic 10's playing surface can handle anything you give it. The comfortable round surface is divided into ten individual pads with pressure- and positional-sensitivity. The popular D Beam is also included for dramatic triggering. Strike a virtual gong with your head, throw your fist into a crash cymbal, wiggle your fingers over a perfect chime gliss — you get the picture.

Rhythm Coach

Flaunting your chops on the stage or in the studio is the fun part, but behind the scenes it's practice that gets you the gigs in the first place. For this purpose, Roland has equipped the HandSonic 10 with a Rhythm Coach. This virtual trainer provides exercises to improve your timing, consistency, and endurance.

I/O Options

While the HandSonic 10 is primarily a hand percussion instrument, users can add a Roland kick pad (optional) via the external trigger input, or add a Roland V-Pad. The input is dual-trigger compatible for double the triggering power via an optional PCS-31L Y-cable.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Hand Sonic 10

I first found out about the Hand Sonic 10 by visiting Guitar Center and playing with one they had on display. There are so many possibilities with the hand sonic 10 its almost unbelievable. I use it in the music that I write but I am also creating sound effects for a Haunted House that I manage. Not only does it have so many different percussion sounds but you can customize the settings as well. You can create you own set and tune it the way you want it. The quality and the fact that the sounds are so realistic is amazing. I reccomend the Hand Sonic 10 to any musician or hobbyist who loves music as much as I do. Its a GREAT addition to my collection of musical instruments and to the music I write.

Perfect for drummer/percussionist

The Roland HPD-10 Handsonic is perfect for the drummer/percussionist. It's a drum kit, set of congas, timbales and much, much more - all carried with it's own adjustable stand in a backpack. As a percussionist, I hate dragging drums, congas, timbales and all my other effects to a gig. I also hate the carry and set-up. The HPD-10 gives you every option imaginable. It's perfect for large groups where you need to compete with keyboards, guitars or loud drummers. I don't even need mics to be HEARD, I just "plug in" and I control the volume and effects. It's also perfect for intimate or "acoustic only" settings where you need to control the exact volume. Roland has included the best drum & percussion sounds and effects you need in this new model. The HPD-10 allows you to play with and add a groove to any genre. I use it for Hip-Hop, Latin, Folk, Rock, Jazz and R&B groups that I play with. Use sticks or hands... use BOTH if you want. It takes me 2 minutes to set up, no tuning, no mics and studio recording is a breeze. It's so portable that sometimes I even take the bus to the gig because the HPD-10 & stand all fit in it's backpack. As a working musician, the HPD-10 has opened up a world of new opportunities and sounds for live & studio performance & made my life easier.

Sounds

The Handsonic Percussion Controller is amazing. I got mine a few weeks ago and can't stop playing it. There are so may different sounds that you can get otu of it. I've never taken any lesson, but the Handsonic makes it so easy to put out a simple beat. Me and my buddie have a blast playing together, he'll start playing some thing on his acoustic and i'll pound out some thing that match up. I love the fact that now I have drums, bongos, and many other percussions all in one unit. Yeh, it's a bit on the spendy side but you get your moneys worth.

Portable Beat Labratory

I got this thing for two main reasons. One, it was lightwieght and small. I can stick it in my duffle bag and take it to my friends house with my amp and feel like my guitar playing friends do. You can take it right out hook the power and output in and play. It's a fast process. Two, the effects blew my mind. The D-Beam is awesome. Pad positioning is cool. The filters are so awesome, and theres so many effects. You get some guitarist with a lot of pedals trying to show off, play a beat on a drum set with Wah cranked up. Play some Bongos with distortion. Its great. The sounds are nice. I've used them in church. I dabber in melodic percussion and foreign drums, and all that other stuff. This is a great tool, although the only thing is this is key of C only.
