Overview

This mandolin and ukulele travel pack includes a RM-100A A-style mandolin, a mandolin gig bag, a soprano ukulele starter pack (including a ukulele, gig bag, pitch pipe, chord guide, and tuning instructions), and a Mandolin Chord Finder book.

RM-100A A-Style Mandolin

Sporting a gorgeous finish, the Rogue RM-100A is a well-built, traditional A-model mandolin. It features clean workmanship throughout and projects a bright tone with lots of bark. With an easy-to-play neck and adjustable bridge, the RM-100A is perfect for beginners who wish to play bluegrass or any other style of music. Finishing touches include chrome tuners and nickel-plated frets.

Soprano Ukulele Starter Pack

This kit is the real deal, not a toy. The neck is nicely shaped and finished in a satin lacquer to give it a great feel. It features a mahogany body, champion-style friction pegs, mahogany bridge, inlaid position markers, and Martin strings.

Could've got something a lot nicer for only a bit more money

By Amanda Gallo

from Ukiah CA

Comments about Rogue Mandolin And Ukulele Travel Pack:

The interments LOOK fine, but don't sound fine. The intonation on these interments is really poor. On the Ukulele the intonation is screwed up after the second fret, no matter how many times you tune it, the chords will end up being flat. The mandolin isn't as bad as the ukulele but still not good quality. The mandolin is the only reason why I give this rating a two star rating, If I were to only rate the ukulele it would be a half star.

Purchased as a set with Ukulele

By Yusuf Saleeby

from Pawleys Island, SC

Comments about Rogue Mandolin And Ukulele Travel Pack:

Son wanted a Ukulele and decided to purchase a combo pack that included this Mandolin. For the price of a top of the line Uke, we got a set of mid-grade Uke/Mandolin instruments with beginner starter pack.... worth the $$$. Instruments were actually nicer than I expected. Still tuning em up and time will tell how they sound, hold up and perform in the coming months.

Good starter kit, no-worries travel instruments

Comments about Rogue Mandolin And Ukulele Travel Pack:

For this price, I though I was going to be getting a cardboard cutout with some fishing wire run through it. While it is cheap, with cheap materials, cheaply made, and has really cruddy tuners (I expect at least one will break very soon because it is very loose and moves a half-turn without engaging the gears); that is what I paid for. This is perfect if you think you might like to play mandolin and uke, but aren't sure, and aren't made of money. Also great for trips, hikes, and camping; because if it dies it's no big loss. It even sounds kind of like a real instrument.
