I have this series bass in a white color. I like to experiment and think outside the box being a bassist for 25 years, so I changed out the regular 45-105 gauge strings and added some piccolo strings on it! (The 34" scale is a plus too!!) I play through a Beringer "UltraBass" 400W head, and two 2x10 cabs made by Peavey and Gallien-Kruger, a Zoom Z-3 Multi-effects processor/looper(with software), a Digitech BP-200, an Electroharmonix "Phaser/Flanger" Pedal, and a Dunlop CryBaby Wah Bass Pedal. There is VERY LITTLE adjustments I had to make to enjoy this bass....AND THAT'S WITHOUT ALL OF THE PEDALS!!!! The tone is crisp, and clear with lots of clarity that I need for soloing...(I'm a heavy Victor Wooten/Stanley Clarke/Marcus Miller/Jaco Pastorius fan). Yes, there is a little fret noise that you encounter, but it can be fixed with a noise gate on a good effects pedal, not to mention adjusting the action or height of the strings on the neck. As one of the earlier comments stated, "you do get what you pay for"....but if you don't mind adding a little more than what you bargained for, it's worth every cent that you spent on it!!! This is a good bass for beginners or professionals, in my opinion, but just like any instrument you play, it's up to YOU to make it sound worth something!!! Peace & Love!!!

So i just started playing the bass about a month or two ago and this is the bass i decided to pick up for myself, two hours away from the closest guitar center and no local music shops i was forced to window shop online and not really try out any thing. Which was not really a big deal cause i didn't know how to play the bass to begin with so i just needed a fairly cheap bass to start learning with, Well ive had this bass for about two month's i guess or atleast close to it. Immediately it started pretty much falling apart the strap holders were popping out the sound started going in and out with the pick up's etc. So thats why i say this bass is a good bass for a beginner, if you are looking for something cheap just to learn on and not really care if its bad or not get this bass im pretty sure the one i got was just a dud but who knows. But still good beginner bass for beginners like me, im catching on to the bass pretty quickly though since ive been playing the normal acoustic and electric guitar for 7 years so soon i plan on making that two hour trip to the nearest guitar center and picking up a better quality bass.

Comments about Rogue LX200B Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

I picked this bass up as an inexpensive back up to a Dean Hillsboro 09,also inexpensive but I needed multiple instuments fast for an upcoming gig and was definetly on a budget. When I first picked this Rouge up there were some noticable quality issues that really jumped out, the bridge is terrible but gets the job done and some frets are actually unsealed. That being said, the neck is actually quite comfortable to play on for long periods of time and the tone is punchy and defined. This bass became the main bass for the gig I mentioned, primarily due to it's thinner neck profile. I'd recommend this bass to anybody that's on a tight budget, especailly good for beginners but I happened to use it at a medium sized venue to positive response. The majority of an audience isn't going to notice if you spent $100 or $1,000 on an instrument but will definetly notice how it's played.

strings are tight and need slow tuning out of the box. once they're tuned in this thing rocks pretty decently. worth the $$ especially when black Friday discounts are available at purchase.

Good inexpensive guitar. Bought it to play Rocksmith with and it holds tuning very well. The game sometimes says the volume is too low but it's always worked.

Comments about Rogue LX200B Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

Bought this bass on sale with low expectations. Im a guitar player that just wanted a bass to do some personal recordings. This thing comes packed with no name parts, a generic headstock, and a made in china sticker right on the back but don't let that fool you!!! This thing sounds better than I would have ever imagined. You can get so many different sounds out of this thing you can use it for virtually any genre. Im sure a high end bass will probably be better in ways but this thing was a gamble gone right! I would recommend this bass to anyone who is looking to learn, anyone like me needing bass lines for his music, or someone looking for honestly a sweet bass on the cheap. The head stock brings down the eye appeal not gonna lie but the rest is very nice.

        Nice Little Bass

        About Me Experienced

Comments about Rogue LX200B Series III Electric Bass Guitar:

Right off the bat and bottom line, this bass is a great purchase as a first bass and still decent as a bass for someone on a budget. I could pick things out that I didn't like but for almost half off on sale, I'm pleased! If you can wait for a sale that would be best but wouldn't be a bad purchase at full price.

Not for any particular reason...just as background info, I've been playing bass for going on 10 years now and feel I know my way around a bass at this point. I just got this today for my 13 year old brother who wants to start playing.

I had this shipped to me before giving it to him because I thought it would need a thorough setup but I was pleasantly surprised to find it really didn't need much! Upon unboxing, the only thing I found was the action too high, which I fixed. However on the positive, the neck was set flush to the body (no ugly gaps), the frets do not have sharp edges, very minimal pickup noise, and the nut was flush and doesn't seem too weak/fragile. Two things that stuck out to me though is that the pickups are pretty quiet (just turn up the amp! :D) and that a new set of strings would definitely make this sound noticeably better though.
