A sweet lap steel for the money

By Graham Squier

from Jacksonville, Fl

Delivery was prompt and all worked fine, except why in the world would they put guitar strings on a lap steel is beyond me. No problem, I just changed them out to C6 tuning from open G. It's an awesome guitar, nice sounds, seems solidly made, with plenty of volume. I see no owner's manual, registration card, etc. or how to register it with Guitar Center. It would be nice to have a wiring diagram and some specs on the pickup. That perplexes me a little.

Poor glue used on Name tag

By Jerold Ketron

from Sparta Kentucky

The Lap steel is of super quality except for the glue that had been used to anchor the name tag on the tuning head. Either enough had not been used or was not seated properly. In my opinion it should have had a router used to embed the tag so that it would be flush with the surface, keeping the tag from being somehow accidently bumped hard enough to knock it off the head or get hung on something causing it to be pulled off. That is the only reason I rated it at 4 stars.
