A full-sounding addition to any guitar rig.

The Rogue Tremolo pedal creates a pulsating effect by varying the signal's volume in cycles, reminiscent of tremolos found in classic '60s amps.

Three control knobs let you quickly adjust the speed of the tremolo effect, its waveform and the depth of modulation. A true bypass switch engages and disengages the effect. An LED indicator shows you when the effect is engaged and gets dim when it's time to change the battery.

The Rogue Tremolo pedal is made of aluminum and built to last.

  • 2nd review after mod

As reviewed by Gordon on 5/17/2015

I performed the same mod that the other reviewer performed (swapping the wave and depth pots). My previous review stated that this pedal was "OK". I'm upping my opinion to "really good" after the mod. Like the other reviewer, I agree that it's still only a 4 star because the mod is needed. If you decide to mod it, be careful of the SMD components. Instead of trying to desolder the pots near the board, you can cut the legs of the pots near the pots themselves. Soldering the legs back together is easy enough to do and keeps your hot iron away from the SMD.

  • It's an OK Tremolo

As reviewed by Gordon Pierce on 6/11/2013

I'm not going to say it's bad, but I'm not going to say it's great. It's good. It's OK. If you need a tremolo for just a couple of songs, go for it. If you plan on keeping it on all the time, you might want to look around and compare it with others to decide if the noise is more/less than other brands. Afterall, the last thing any of us want is more noise on our signal. For my needs, it works. I run it occasionally, and mostly when I'm playing Rockabilly. I'll run my guitar through an OD, then to this Rogue Tremolo, then to an analog delay, then to a stereo chorus then to 2 Vox all tube heads to their own 212 cabs. (Yeah, you're supposed to run the chorus before the Tremolo, but we're not here to discuss pedal order, we're talking about the pro/con of the Rogue Tremolo pedal. Besides, this pedal lineup works for me.) When engaged, the noise isn't bad, but it is there. I think it's also fair to note that I don't run a noise gate or noise compressor, so I tend to be a little more critical of signal noise. The rate and wave controls offer a great blend of tremolo options. The depth goes from VERY subtle to obscenely obvious. Some other sites offer reviews which state that the depth doesn't work until you bring it past 12:00. I found that tremolo becomes noticeable around 10:00, depending on where you have the rate and wave controls set. For the price, I'd give it a shot before forking out over a $100 for a different brand. It's a lightweight, all aluminum case, but feels solid enough. The switch feels great under your foot. It's not too hard, not too soft. You definitely know that you've engaged the pedal by the feel of the switch. True bypass and no popping when engaged. I know this review is a bit long, but I wanted to be fair to the pedal and to you. I think this pedal deserves a look/listen and I think some of you might find that this pedal suits your needs while saving you some $$.

  • GREAT little pedal...after modifying

As reviewed by Patrick on 1/13/2015

I bought this knowing it was inexpensive and got decent ratings and was a true bypass clone of the Boss TR2. Out of the box, it had a very limited range but sounded good. A review of the Schematic of the Boss pedal showed the circuit to be identical except for the use of pots (linear vs audio) why they did this I don't know, but by switching the wave and depth pots, this pedal is incredible! If I didn't need to do this, It would get 5 stars. No noticeable noise.
