This is an excellent effects boss whether you're gigging, recording in the studio, or just practicing at home. I have been using Behringer Bass-V and while it was good for fooling around at home, When I went into the studio, it just didn't cut it in the studio, but with the Rocktron Utopia, I can dial in any sound I want. I am always getting buzz out of my amp, but with the Hush, I never hear anything coming out of my amp besides pure bass. The effects on this are also phenomenal,I have always tried to replicate the synthy sound made by the bass in the song Hysteria by the band Muse, but I never was able to until I plugged into this bad boy. As for durability, this thing is a tank. One time i was getting my gear out of my Suburban, and the Utopia slipped out of my hand and crashed into the asphalt. I thought it would be seriously damaged, but the thing still worked like it was brand new besides some damage to the chassis.
