Controls Rocktron products as well as other MIDI switchable products. 2 expression ports allow you to plug in Rocktron HEX expression/volume controllers. The ports have a smart function that recognizes the current status of both controller pedal ports upon the recall program change command being sent out. It has a power switch; Up, Down, and Recall controls; and an LED display that shows you the preset or controller assignment selection. Runs on a 9-volt battery, as well as external AC adapter or phantom power through select Rocktron processors and amplifiers.

    Anything bearing the Rocktron name you can expect quality surpassing other brands. As well the ease of use. The Midi Xchange will definitely satisfy professionals as well as beginners. More Info: The MIDI Xchange provides "SMART CONTROLLERS" not commonly seen in low-cost MIDI footswitches. What are SMART CONTROLLERS? Typically with most MIDI footcontrollers, when using continuous controller pedals the "status" of the pedals are not reported when a new preset command has been sent. This would most likely cause a discontinuity in volume requiring the user to step on his volume pedal to correct the change, thus updating the pedal status manually. The MIDI Xchange issues "current status" of both controller pedal ports upon the recall program change command being sent out. Also, auto enable of these controller messages are detected when any of the two ports have a pedal attached to them. Again Rocktron is your best bang for the buck.

  • Midi Xchange Rockin' With Rocktron

    The MidiXchange pedal as well with all of Rocktron Equipment is easy to use, Plug and Play directlty out of the box. This pedal is so simple to use, an amateur or professional alike can appreciate it. Sturdy aluminum casing, easy to see lighting and works fantastic with any Rocktron effects unit or Midi device. The inputs of the pedal allow the user to use Rocktron's HEX Expression pedal (with only 1 1/4 inch jack) and also can be used with the variety and multitude of expression / volume pedals on the market. I also use Rocktron amplifiers and effects processors, and preamps in the studio and onstage where dependabilty as well as looks, performance are important. Try Rocktron and you will definetly be as impressed as I have been. Their technolgy whether it's an amp, stompbox, or any other product bearing the Rocktron name gives you the reliability needed in any situation.
