Metal Essential

If you are a recording guitarist who combines high gain with digital time based effects this is absolutely essential. Placed after the gain stage (eq/Overdrive/distotion) and in front of delay/chorus/reverb effects this box will vastly improve the recorded sound of even obscenely distorted effects chains. Even with cheap single coil pick-ups in a noisey EM environment, the results are astounding. A lot of people wonder why they should shell out good money for a unit that for all intents and purposes produces no sound at all, well, if you over-dub 6-8 tracks of squealy nu-metal mayhem and bring up all the faders on playback, without this you have a wall of buzzing, humming crap. With it used properly, it can be awesome.

Excellent noise gate for affordable price

I recently just went from using Boss pedals to completely using all rack and let me tell you it was a difficult choice to make. I didn?t think I would find other products that would be comparable to the quality of Boss pedals. I was using the Boss NS-2 which in my opinion is one of the best noise gates you can buy. So when I decided to switch to rack mounts I did a lot of research and came across the Rocktron Super Hush C. I didn?t have a good taste with Rocktron because I had previously used there Hush Noise Reduction Pedal and it suck major butt it hummed a lot and took away most of the tone. So I was weary going to this rack from Rocktron, but to my dismay this is a killer rack!!! It kills the sound when you aren?t making any and it retains your tone and sustain. Even my Boss NS-2 took a little of my tone but this rack does exactly what it?s suppose to do without compromising you?re tone. I play in a Hardcore, Tech-Metal band and it?s crucial to have very little to no noise while we have a killer break down and still retains the crunch. The controls on the rack are easy to play with and in a few you?ll get exactly what you want. For the price this is an affordable noise gate for a rack mount and it?s definitely worth every penny. This is my rig: SKB 4 Space Rack Mount Furman Power Conditioner Korg DT-1000 Rocktron Hush Super C BBE Sonic Maximizer Running them to a Peavey ValveKing 100w Tube Amp Head and a Marshall MG412 Cab. I hope this is helpful for anyone reading this, have a great day.

Simple...

I simply bought this to stop my guitar from feeding back while playing live.I have a rack mount with a bbe sonic maximizer and when I stop playing I dont have to hurry to roll my volume back..I used a volume pedal for years, but the hush simply just shuts me down. While I play its almost like its off,its smart enough to know when to kick in..an afternoon of tweaking and this thing was ready to live in my rack space.
