The Rocktron Banshee Talk Box brings a new twist to an outdated generation of complicated and risky talk boxes. Banshee is unique because it contains an internal preamp, amplifier, and horn driver. You simply plug into your pedalboard and run the provided tubing up the mic stand and into your mouth. There's no risk of blowing up your favorite amp head (a possibility with talk boxes of yore). The rest is up to your imagination as you generate incredible talking tones. A wide range of clean and dirty preamp tones may be dialed in with plenty of saturation for those who desire lots of gain. Not only does the Banshee scream in the talkbox mode, but it also includes an extra jack for hookup with an extension pedal speaker. Plugging a speaker cab into this output turns your pedal board into a perfect practice setup with enough volume to seriously crank it. Includes power supply.

  • What a box...

    I just got this talk box for Christmas, and oh, boy, man was I excited when I opened it. When I got home, I opened it right away, and noticed it wasn't any cheap or cheaply made plastic, but hefty, metal that could take some damage. When I plugged it into my Les Paul, I was stunned. With it being my first talk box, it delivered a stunning, crisp, crunchy sound to it. You could do anything with this, you can play just like Peter Frampton, or any other rock god with this pup! I like how the box actually acts like an amp. It has a tone, gain and output knobs, and plug it right into your guitar, and start rocking. You have your very own little practice amp/talkbox right at your foot!

  • Very Cool

    It's easy to set up right out of the box, and the tube isn't so large that it's too uncomfortable to use it for long periods of time. It's really fun to hook up to a synth or a guitar, in my own experience. It's nice and loud, although I didn't know that there wasn't a digital/analog output for the sound, rather a extremely audible effect that radiates from your mouth! Be prepared to setup your microphone to record the sound. It's well-made and has a good weight to it. Small enough to toss in the car and thick enough for a booming sound. 5 stars.

    This is such a rare effect, but I sure wish I had gotten one a lot sooner. This Banshee works as advertised and is built like a tank. Easy to set up and easy to get those tones that talk boxes are known for.
