A wall of screaming stacks pumped directly into your brain.

The Rockman Metal Ace is a high-quality, low-priced headphone amp that offers built-in compression, volume control, and auxiliary stereo input/output. Use it to jam along with your favorite bands. Killer distortion with switchable gain. Sound so heavy, many a serious metal monster have used this thing as a studio direct box or a distortion unit in front of their amps.

Rockman Metal Ace Headphone Amp Features:

  • Killer metal tones
    Switchable gain
    Volume control
    Stereo in and out

  • Does exactly what I hoped, maybe better

As reviewed by Bart on 3/31/2008

The Rockman Metal Ace Headphone Amp is extremely easy to use. Tone quality on the undistorted setting is very faithful to the guitars (ES-335 and Strat) being used; the two distortion settings are noticeably different and well done. The full distortion setting is a very good quality, chunky metal tone for the purposes of a portable practice amp. Allows me to enjoy practicing without disturbing others, which is the purpose of the amp.

  • Not as good as the original

As reviewed by Adam White on 4/14/2012

The original Rockman by Tom Schultz was a wonderful little machine. The metal ace however, falls very short of that mark.I was horribly disappointed by this abomination. The clean setting sounds very plinky and thin. The metal settings sound very thin as well. If you are buying this in hopes to play any metal generated since the 1970's you will be disappointed. In the gain department it simply does not deliver. It reminds me of a 15w Kay guitar amp I bought in the 80's that only had an overdrive channel. If you want a better headphone amp to play metal with try to find an original Rockman, or buy the Vox Amplug metal for a more realistic metal sound. For $80 this thing is just horrible.
