I actually bought the bass at Chuck Levins in Washington DC. This bass feels very similar to the expensive corvette, in fact I think the neck is a little faster for small hands like mine. Much lighter too! I bought one with the blackish green stain over wood, great finish!! VERY sensitive pickups, awesome. Top quality finish and fit, great balance, amazingly nice for a Made In China sticker (dont be fooled this is a GREAT bass; take that sticker off of there!). Great neck, nice and thin, rosewood over maple. I detuned it to a low C bass and the sound is great for Punk/Metal. Active is VERY active, very adjustable. 5 Stars for value and looks. 4 Stars for tone, this doesnt have quite the growl of the real corvette but that is probably due to be detuning it, plus the much lower mass of the body. I chose this for feel and tone over an American Jazz fender bass, and its less than half the price and looks better and is lighter! 5 Stars for a rock/metal/punk bass, Superb value.
I've been playing this bass for almost a year now and it hasn't failed me yet! Very light body, great looking, excellent sound, and affordable!
Overall, this is bass is great it has a good growl and a very sharp sound too, it has a wide range of tones also. I got a pretty good deal on it because it had a very little flaw to it. But overall it is an awesome bass because it looks great but most of all it sounds great.
I just bought this a few days ago, and I'm thrilled to have it. It's amazing for slap and pop, but it works great for everything else too. My last choice was between this and two Fenders, and this blew them both out of the water. Wonderful bass, great sound.
This bass is great for slap bass. The strings are set further apart to allow you to quickly get your fingers in between them for a nice snap. It has a sharp sound to it making it perfect for everything from funk to punk to metal. The only problem is a defect with the nut which the input jack is screwed in. It doesn't have teeth and will loosen and requires almost constant tightening. Take it to any music shop and they can add a new one with teeth in for under 20 bucks.
I recently purchased this Rockbass from Warwick. I spent an hour playing it before I bought. I fell in love with it instantly. This bass has a great warm, smooth sound. The active pickups are very sensitive. The body is light which puts less stress on the shoulder. This bass is awesome for slapping and popping as well. I played quite a few basses before I chose this one. I got a great value from an affordable Bass by Warwick.
I just got the the RockBass and it is amazing it has an amzing range of sound if you want to play Flea funk it works, wanna play Matthew Taylor style from Motion City soundtrack its awsome, such a wide variety of sound. Excellent if you are still searching for that perfect sound. Excellent if you have found your sound. This bass kicks major glutes, and i highly recomend it!! RockBass Rules!!
