Bang for your buck!

By M.Cavalcanti

from Atlanta, GA

You will not find any better bass with this price range... it has all the electronics and pickups from the expensive warwicks, difference is... the rockbass is handcrafted in china and the expensive ones is made in germany... (you can tell the difference) but when you plug, you can still tell it's a warwick sound... I have tried ibanez, yamaha, schecter, but none of these, even more expensive basses are as good as this one... if your budget is up to $800.00 - you can save money and buy this little guy for less than $500 at your local guitar center... I used to play American Fender Jazz Bass, kept a Marcus Miller American Fender Jazz Bass, which are basses 700-900 dollars more expensive, and I don't miss them... I made a really good deal selling my expensive basses and getting this one!

Definitely not the downgraded version

By Josh

from Greensboro, NC

I have played this bass a few different times in local music stores. Before I played it, I thought, "This is just a downgraded piece of junk with Warwick's name on it!" Then, I picked it up, and I couldn't have been more wrong. This bass has great tone, it's lightweight (alder/maple combo lends to featherweight status), and it has the same exact pickups and electronics that it's big brothers have! What is not to like about these?!?! I do think that it could use a mid control onboard, but that can be dialed in on the amp or at the board -- not that big of a deal. Clear tone, comfortable body, fat neck... great bass! Buy one of these soon -- I'm going to!! :)

Huge Sound for Small Price Tag!

By Dino

from Northern California

I bought mine a month ago and I could not be happier. This bass has awesome low end with top of the line active pickups. It's built like a tank. I love the body style...the corvette is definitely a head turner, not just the looks but the great sound. The b-string doesn't feel sloppy like other 5-strings basses. I highly recommend this bass for a beginner because you will use it when you become a pro....it is that good.
