Great guitar at any price

Comments about Road Runner Classical Guitar Gig Bag:

Great sounding guitar. No need to pay more for a great biscuit-bridge, resophonic guitar.

The guitar I bought really shines when using metal finger picks played in open G and open D tunings. (It almost seemed that the guitar was voiced for lower tension tunings.) If you plan to use it primarily for slide, note that the fretboard is not flat, but has 400mm radius. The set up out of the box was very playable for me. Could find no imperfections regarding fit or finish. Fretboard was nicely finished. I found the neck comfortable and very playable. The Alligator's resonator tone was more subtile, mellow and classy than my Grestch Boxcar squareneck. The Gretsch Alligator has nice a volume and a beautiful tone. Sustain was very good. This guitar model may be one of the most reviewed, demonstrated resonator guitars on YouTube. So listen for yourself before buying. and you'll see what I mean.

Overall, I've been generally impressed with the Gretsch Roots collection -- I now own three. Years from now, we will look back and feel lucky to have lived in an era where we can get great, well-made, low price production guitars. Also, I've ordered lots of guitars online and I've never seen better packing of a non-cased guitar by a guitar company -- Gretsch encased the entire guitar in molded styrofoam.
