When I first got my Ibanez bass I just saw this case and, since it was the cheapest one I saw, went for it. The padding is great compared to my buddys bags and he actually went out and got one too. It some how doesn't get my bass to out of tune either. But yeah, great value.

I received this bag as a special deal when I buying a new electric. I like to take care of my instruments and protect them, and this does not offer much protection. I am carrying my guitar with me a lot so it ended wearing out very quickly. If you're not very active or traveling a lot, this will maybe do okay, but I strongly recommend spending about 60 or 70 dollars more for a hard case that will last ten times longer. The money you would spend on buying this case every time it wears out will be many times more expensive than just getting one good case.

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I bought this bass bag because it was on sale online. The straps are similar to straps on cheaper bags and I'm afraid that if I use them, they will break soon. The pad isn't padded very well inside, so I don't want to put my hard onto any surface. I should've paid closer to $60 to get a better quality bag, but since my old bag had tore, this is an ok temporary replacement.

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I am an experienced musician of 10 years, I started with guitar but more recently my friends bands have been asking for a bass player so I decided to get my own.

This case has a sturdy and effective layer of padding to keep your instrument safe!!

After reading other reviews about other cases being too thin or not fitting the instrument, I went to the store to ensure that I got the right case, and this case covers all of my needs and then some. The padding is EFFECTIVE, as long as you don't crush your instrument with a car, or drop it off a building this case will do the job! :)

      A good gig-bag for a good bass

      By Daniel

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

When I realized I needed a case for my new bass I didn't have enough money to buy a hard shell on so I looked at the...soft shell ones. I found this gig-bag and it has given me the best protection that you could find in a case like this. It really keeps the guitar in tune and protects it very well from scratches and dents, and, it's very durable and will take care of the body well. The best thing is, is that is has backpack straps so you don't flail it around on a single sing strap. The only bad thing I would say about this awesome, affordable gig-bag is that it might come apart in a few years but I think that's enough time to save money for a hard shell case. Overall, the Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag is a good look, has the greatest quality and has the best handling for a soft shell case. I would totally recommend this product to beginner bassists with cheap guitars,

      Can't beat it

      By Tony

      from Cali

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I've had this bag for years. Now the current offering may have been made a little diifrent but it looks the same. I have several basses and this bag protects my prized Alembic, a lot of times I'll use this bag for other basses when I don't use the Alembic. I have had a couple Warwicks and the bags are good but they have not lasted as long as the roadrunner. The good bags have straps the don't allow the bag to flip when you sling it on, the cheap bags seem to fasten the straps lower so the balance is off allowing the flip. A real hassle. This bag I put in the cheap catagory as far a price but constructing and balance is on par with the more expensive bags. I have looked at the mono bag and it is a very nice bag but I can't see paying $200 more when this bag has been doing the job for me for years. Only the little tab that pulls the zipper has come off in all the years. I will most likely be buying more as the others wear out.

      Good bag

      By JOSHUA

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

This is a tough little gig bag. I've owned mine a couple of years with regular gigging in all kinds of venues, be it bars, restaurants, churches, festivals, concert halls, etc. My Road Runner bag does not have any tears, holes, rips, etc. I think this is in part to the fact that I baby all of my gear, including this bag. :) Nevertheless, I'm very happy with the overall quality of this bag. I'm toting around an old Jazz bass in this bag, and it isn't exactly light. This heavy bass is well supported in this bag. It is sufficiently padded, and I'm confident that my bass is well protected. I only have two gripes, and they are relatively minor. First, the shoulder straps are not padded. I've gotten used to this, and now, it isn't too big of a deal. Besides, spend a little more, you can get one with padded shoulder straps. Second, the zippers are made of plastic. This was probably done as a money saving thing by the manufacturer, with this being an inexpensive gig bag. Metal zippers would be much better. I don't use the small pocket on the very front of the gig bag because the one time that I opened it, I had a lot of difficulty getting it zipped back up. The plastic zipper seemed like it kept getting caught all over itself... I just use the bigger zipper pocket, and everything that needs to fit in there fits. I'm shopping around for a 5-string bass, and when I purchase it, I'll likely purchase another one of these bags to tote it around in. If you're playing local/regional gigs, and you don't really have a need for a hard case, I would recommend checking out this bag.

Great bag for the price, I like that it has 2 handles and shoulder straps. The stitching looks strong and it has extra protection at the head and bridge.

Fails at one of the functions of a gig bag

      By Jason Singleton

      from CIncinnati Ohio

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

This is a decent bag construction wise but it fails when its time to carry it somewhere over your shoulder. The shoulder straps/backpack setup is a fail. I just brought this home, gave it a try and it's headed back to the store. If you don't plan on throwing you stick over your shoulder to free your hands for lugging other stuff into the club this may work out for you.

      Does not last

      By John

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I bought two of these bags less than two years ago and both of them are coming apart from the seams where the handles are after very little use. The company's web site has no phone number to contact for warranty claims and emails to them fail to delivery.

      Worth it

      By Joe Romero

      from Elizabeth, New Jersey

Comments about Road Runner Express Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

This bag is good for its price. The only problem i have with it is that it doesnt previde that much protection for one's base, but if one is looking for just a bag to carry their base around then i recommend this bag.
