Awsome Guitar Case

By Chris

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

This case is awsome, yea it is a little expensive but it is worth it. This case protects my acoustic very well. It has a nice compartment to store picks, strings, tuner, capo ect... If u dont have one of these cases for your guitar u should get one.

Good fit, good value

By Moe

from Dayton OH

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

I purchased this case along with my new Yamaha FG730S at the local GC. It fits the guitar exactly the way a motorcycle helmet should fit--snug, but not too tight. The foam around the body and at the neck bearing point is compressed about 30-40%, giving good support and shock absorption. An instrument in a loose-fitting case can be like a person in a vehicle without seat belts or air-bags. The construction quality of this case is very good, with no defects noted in the stitching and no glue overspray or drops on the lining. The hardware is sturdy and well-attached. Like most cases, this one also has an inside accessory box more than adequate in size for a capo, tuner, and other accessories. Again, like most, the lining is soft and won't scratch. Yes, it smells of new fabric and glue, which will take some time to dissipate. Anyone who's ever had new carpeting installed in a house or basement is familiar with this experience. I believe this case is a good buy, and is at least equal in quality to others at this price point.

Like putting your guitar in a Kevlar vest

By Sarah

from Gulfport, MS

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

This case is GREAT. A guy at the pawn shop where I bought my new guitar threw it in for free. You must settle your guitar into the case slowly. It is a very tight fit for my guitar on the lower outcurve of the body (Yamaha FG720SCA) but when I get it in it sinks right in. However, this is a good thing - the less an instrument jiggles around in its case, the less chance it will get damaged. It smells like... well, new case. The smell does not bother me. The accessories compartment is HUGE. I can store my synth-leather strap (quite bulky), a fabric strap, a capo, a set of fingerpicks, an allen wrench, and, of course, buttloads of picks and still have room to spare. The lining is very soft and plush. No worries about scratching your finish. You might be tempted to curl up and fall asleep in your case. Don't. You're probably bigger than your guitar. Overall, great case. You can hit this thing with a Mack truck, and the truck might get screwed, but the case will be juuuust fine. You can sit on this case, you can let your hyperactive dog run all over it, you could probably slam it against a wall and it would make no difference. If you want to protect your dreadnought, get this case.

It's the smell

By Bryan

from Round Rock, Texas

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

Every thing physical about this case is great. The latches are tough and the carrying handle is perfectly placed. However, the smell of the interior is horrible. I have had it open for 2 weeks now with a fan blowing on the interior of the case hoping this was just glue that may not have cured. The strong plastic smell is still present. If I keep my guitar in it, over night, and take it out the next day I have to leave the guitar out for an hour before playing because the guitar has absorbed some of the smell and it is nauseating to hold the guitar. If this is not glue then it could only be the fuzzy lining. This means the life of this lining will be very short as it is degrading at a rapid rate and thus the smell.

Worth the $$

By Chrysanthi

from Rockville, MD

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

I bought this case along with my Martin DXJ and it fits perfectly in it. It even has an awesome compartment in it to store everything from picks to capos. This is a great case that even has KEYS to lock it!!! The clasps on it are very secure. I trust this case with my Martin. If you don't have one of these, you all need to get one.

Fits like a glove and built like a tank

By Nashville Mike

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

I got this case about 3 months ago when I got my Ibanez acoustic electric guitar and highly recommend this case. The constuction of the case is solid, the buckles latch securely and the way it is cut my guitar fits into it like a glove. I line it up and almost have to gently push it down into the case to get it in so the guitar doesn't bounce around or move at all once it is in the case. With the hard Tolex outer covering I am confident that my guitar will always arrive safe and sound when I am traveling with it. A worthwhile investment to protect your instrument.

Fits not only dreadnoughts...

By Dylan

from Milwaukee, WI

Comments about Road Runner Dreadnought Guitar Wood Case:

This thing is absolutely awesome! Even though it is a dreadnought case, it fits my ibanez ael10le like a glove! it doesn't perfectly "contour" to the sides, but it doesn't squish the electronics that stick out on one side, and the top part is large enough to fit the enormous headstock of my guitar. The middle compartment is deep enough to hold strings, picks, a winder, etc. and the exterior and interior protection is great! Wouldn't go with anything else!
