bought this to see if it is actually worth the price... its worth every penny and more... i am a welder and machinist with an 18 yr. background in master cabinet building and i dont know how they sell this for this price... their keyboard cases are only 8" wider (long way) and are almost 200.00 PLUS this has the padded metal bars for holding guitars and basses.. it is VERY heavy duty... the bars seem a little flimsy but with the flip up bar locking tabs it makes them sturdier... i would definitely use this on stage also....

Opened this up for the first time today... Outer case is fine, it has the look of a flight case, but I wouldn't want to test it. Holds guitars just fine, but the thin hinges that hold up the stand are really shabby. One hinge's screws were next to the hinge because the holes were stripped by the factory. On the other side, the hinge pin was broken off from the hinge screws being installed at bad angles. If you buy this, take the internal hinges off and replace them with something more sturdy...

good deal

By Evan

from Michigan

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

The case itself is solid and attracive. I have two acoustics and three electrics on it now, and it seems to be maxed out. I could probably fit one more electric on there, but it would be tight. The stand part itself is not as sturdy as I would prefer, but it does the job, and does it well.

Very nicely built

By PLBPRODUCTIONS

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

I bought this case for my studio, and needed something that was compact but efficent. This is an excellent case and the price is worthy. It is a very heavy case, 30 lbs, sets up in less than 30 seconds. would be tight to set more than 3 acoustics and 4 electrics. I believe this is a great deal and happy with my purchase.

Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase

By Teresa

from Southern Pines, North Carolina

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

This guitar stand is perfect. I got it for my husband for our 1st anniversary. He had been wanting one for a long time. When I saw this price it was perfect. He uses it onstage rather than several separte guitar stands and it does not take near the room. He also likes the way it is compact and the appearance is wonderful.

Very Nice !!

By Ronnie S.

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

I recently purchased this stand and it by far is the best stand that I have ever owned. After buying various stands over the years this one will last. The only complaint I have is the velcro slots that are movable for the base of the guitars is kinda cheesy, but still a great stand over all!

Road Runner 7 is a Steal !!!

By Brian Jason

from Beverly Hills, CA

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

I bought this case at Guitar Center with a coupon. This is a steal. I'm going to use it in my studio and probably wont take it out very much. If you do this you'll be in great shape. If your out on the road with it playing a lot, it won't last forever. PLEASE READ!!! People keep complaining that this stand isn't that sturdy and doesn't hold the guitars as well as it should. THERE ARE HIDDEN SUPPORT ARMS INSIDE THE TOP OF THE CASE LID! They swing out on each side and hold the stand legs securely in place. Each arm has a cut out that fits the stand leg perfectly. If you do it right, your case lid should be at a perfect 90 degree angle because the support arms swing out and lock on to each leg!! This thing is sturdy as a mother!!! Look at the price of the Fender case stand? 300 bucks?? Way too much for that. Spend this much and you'll be happy with this case/stand.

2nd Review

By JOSH ULCH

from Troy, Michigan

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

To add to my previous review, I replaced the hinges with the same size, but more durable hinges from my local hardware store. Also changed the bolts to longer bolts with locking nuts. The stand is now road worthy and holds guitars really well. I do suggest placing a towel or some sort of nitro friendly cloth on the rack as it may not be nitro friendly. Now its ready, I'm taking this to its first gig on Saturday. Also as an added bonus, I found there is a lot of wasted space inside the case. So much extra space, I looked for ways to use it to haul additional gear. I use the Gater Bone pedal board and found it fits perfectly inside the case. There is room on either side for a small bag for my strings, tools, pick, and extra cables. Plus room for my Furman power supply. That saves me a lot of extra trips to the car. This diamond in the rough is suddenly worth its weight in gold.

Great Case, Mediocre Guitar Rack

By MSkillz

from Boardman, OH

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

First off, this is not an ATA fight-rated case, but it definitely is road worthy. The case is very well constructed with reinforced metal corners and VERY durable butterfly latches. The guitar rack itself is ok. I purchased mine online, and when I received it, I opened the case to find one half of the rack damaged with the hinge disconnected from the side support and bottom of the case. It was a 10 minute repair which required me to remove the side support and re-attach the hinge to the support and bottom of the case. The hinges appear to be of a low quality, hopefully it won't break again. I would recommend stronger hinges. The rest of the rack appears to be of a decent quality. The biggest flaw I would have to say would be the bottom of the case where the padded inserts are supposed to velco to the bottom to help separate the guitars. They are very flimsy (and as one other review on here said, "cheesey") and the velco does not hold. I plan on constructing a better bottom with properly secured and spaced inserts. Also, it's a tight fit for 7 guitars. I would recommend 6 electric guitars or 5 electric guitars and an acoustic. It would also be nice to see something that secures the guitar at the neck towards the top of the guitar rack so tipping won't be an issue. Overall, it's a decent guitar rack inside of a fabulous case. Good buy for the money.

cool thingy

By Ike Lamb

from okc,ok

Comments about Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase:

While not a true flight case, this thing is beefy enough to handle lots of abuse.I wouldn't fly a guitar in it, but that is not what it was designed to do. it is big enought to hold 7 electrics if you really cram them in there. I use it for four solid body electrics and one gibson 1-75 and it is perfect.I coudn't be more pleased!
