I've had the small version for over a year now. I didn't want to pay $300 for a pedal case...so this one fit the bill. The inside is great- velcro friendly, and lid is soft. The interior height isn't bad. I built a little riser out of wood for the pedals in the rear row, and the lid shuts no problem. When I first got it I expected the handle to break easily (it looks cheap) but the fact that it's still in perfect shape speaks to it's durability. The butterfly locks still work well also. The exterior of the case is somewhat cheap. I gig locally and it has its share of dings and outright dents. It has held up ok, not great. This is not a roadworthy case, but sufficient for light to moderate use. A good value overall. "4-5 pedals for the small, 6-8 for the large" is a bit off. I currently have 8 pedals on the small: 4 boss singles, 2 homemade (smaller), the 3-channel sansamp(quite large), and Carl Martin Vintage series (old style enclosure-also very big). You could easily fit 8 boss pedals on the small, probably 12 on the large.

  • Mediocre

As reviewed by Jesse Carson on 4/25/2011

This box is enormous, the picture of it is deceiving. bottom part that your pedals sit on is recessed and the lid with the foam padding is entirely too deep. So your pedals might be held to the board with velcro, but when you shut the lid the foam padding doesn't even come close to securely holding the pedals in place when traveling. The outside is cheesy and ultra thin metal. I returned it for this: "Gator GW-GIG BOX JR PWR Guitar Stand and Powered Pedal Board Regular Black" Spend the extra hundred, what you get for the money is for more value and usability. Sorry Road Runner.

  • Just as the ad reads.

It's just that..."a way to safely get your pedals from point A to point B. The pedalboard is NON-POWERED, and comes with butterfly locks which are nice and sturdy. The casing is lined up with velcro hook & loop on the bottom and some nice nub padding on top to keep pedals safe and in place. As far as the outer construction, it is a little on the cheap side. The covering, or the stainless steel look isnt really stainless or steel for that matter, as a matter of fact I'm pretty sure it's wood with a sticker of some sort placed over it. It's sort of flimsy but overall, the ad pretty much says it all,,I will give it a 4/5 star rating.
