This Dreadnought Case by Road Runner features strong multi-ply wood construction with Tolex covering. The valances are stitched through the case top and your guitar will be well kept in its soft, cushioned interior.
This case is GREAT. A guy at the pawn shop where I bought my new guitar threw it in for free. You must settle your guitar into the case slowly. It is a very tight fit for my guitar on the lower outcurve of the body (Yamaha FG720SCA) but when I get it in it sinks right in. However, this is a good thing - the less an instrument jiggles around in its case, the less chance it will get damaged. It smells like... well, new case. The smell does not bother me. The accessories compartment is HUGE. I can store my synth-leather strap (quite bulky), a fabric strap, a capo, a set of fingerpicks, an allen wrench, and, of course, buttloads of picks and still have room to spare. The lining is very soft and plush. No worries about scratching your finish. You might be tempted to curl up and fall asleep in your case. Don't. You're probably bigger than your guitar. Overall, great case. You can hit this thing with a Mack truck, and the truck might get screwed, but the case will be juuuust fine. You can sit on this case, you can let your hyperactive dog run all over it, you could probably slam it against a wall and it would make no difference. If you want to protect your dreadnought, get this case.
I got this guitar case today. I am very very happy about this purchase because this case has exceeded my expectations. I'm using it for my Yamaha FG700S acoustic guitar. The case is built very solidly and has very nice soft protection on the inside and solid wooden protection outside. The case itself has ample space inside to keep extra stuff. The case has 4 latches and one of them has a lock too (which was a total surprise to me). It has a 2 yrs manufacturer warranty which is very nice to have (just in case)... I must also commend the guitar center personal too who are very pleasant and very knowledgeable about their products.
This case is great! It protects my Hummingbird Artist nicely! The interior is very soft, the neck support is in the perfect position. And the pocket is very roomy i can fit my tuner, strap, capo, picks and still have room to spare. This is a great case for your dreadnought that wont break the bank!
