Hear your amp’s true tone at bedroom-friendly levels.
The Rivera RockCrusher Recording takes all the power-attenuating magic of the original that allows you to get that thick, crunchy tube overdrive from your amp at practice levels, and it adds an 11-band EQ and other new features to make the RockCrusher Recording a must-have piece in your arsenal.
On the front panel, the RockCrusher Recording offers an attenuation/bypass switch, 8 or 16O switchable impedance levels to give you access to a wider range of amps and cabs, two flavors of equalization (Edge and Warm) and the attenuation and output-level knobs that control how much of your amp’s volume you want to squash. There is also a level meter that allows you to monitor the power input or line output, toggles for EQ on/off, three-position pad switch that controls the headroom of the equalizer, and line-out 8/16O selector. Next to that lies the 11-band graphic EQ — from 75hz to 4k, where most sought after guitar speakers are voiced — and includes a volume slider as well.
Around the back lies the power switch, a balanced XRL output, unbalanced 1/4" line out, two speaker outs and the 1/4" input jack in which to plug your amp’s output.
Besides its top-tier work as a power attenuator for the tone-conscious player, the RockCrusher Recording provides a super safe load for your favorite tube amp and gives you the most powerful all-analog speaker emulator. Through use of the 11-band of EQ, you'll be able to mimic most speaker and mic combinations and then make sound even better.
