Comments about Rickenbacker 360 12-String Electric Guitar:

I'm a keyboardist for a variety band and I also play 12 string electric on songs like Ticket To Ride, If I Needed Someone, Bus Stop etc. Been playing mostly an Eastwood Classic 12 or sometimes a Danelectro 12. I've planned all along to graduate to the Rick. Initially wanted the 660/12 because of the wider neck, but it was on back order, so I got the 360/12. Got it home, lowered the action and adjusted the intonation (I'm very particular about being in tune). Spent the rest of the night getting use to the narrow neck after playing the wide necked Eastwood for a year and a half. Got it to the gig and when I started playing on the Beatles songs, the lead guitar player said later on, that he almost freaked out. He referred to it as the "legit" sound for the Beatles songs. I think the high gains sound fine. I may or may not swap to the Toaster Tops in the future. A lot of people play these through Vox amps. I think they sound better through a Fender amp like my Deluxe Reverb. The Fender has that midrange quality, and the Rick already was plenty of jangle.
