This thing is really a fantastic piece of equipment in any drummer's arsenal. I had to some modifications to it first, but then it was ready to go. The all brass jingles on it make it sound really great, as some tambourines use other materials that just don't sound as good. I've also had two other tambourine's that broke within the first couple of months. I have had this for over a year now and it is still in fantastic shape, and is a fantastic buy.
As tambourines go, this one has been a dream. I've had this for two years now and it still looks like new, even with heavy gig use. It's light and easy to handle (thanks to the cushioned grip) yet very sturdy and durable. The brass jingles produce a 'darker' tone that's not as piercing as its nickel jingled counterpart but still stands up to the demands of my 9 piece band.
