Ahh, I guess from the name of this that this tambourine is designed for those moments when you need a 5-minute nothing-but-tambo solo o your track? I held off getting a tambourine for a long time, but stumbled upon this Rhythm Tech on the website the other day and ordered one. As most of the drums I use in recording are programmed, I am always looking for ways to make tracks sound more realistic. Although not the world's best percussionist, I have found many uses for this little item already. It's a great addition the studio--it just invites folks to pick it up and play along, and the tambourine adds a lot of energy to whatever you're recording as long as you don't overuse it. I've been happy with the Rhythm Tech so far--it seems sturdy and has a sound that records nicely. C'mon, everyone needs a tambourine, and at this price, there are no excuses.
After learning that there was a local store in Richmond, I purchased the three tambourines in stock for my Youth Praise Dance group.We are working on a song that requires choreography with tambourines, and these are awesome! They are loud, lightweight, and very easy to handle. We are able to switch the instrument from one hand to the other with ease and all of our dance moves pop! I am about to purchase several more. From small hands to large they are great!
This tambourine is a great choice for someone seeking durability, comfort and an economical price. There are better tambourines on the market, no doubt. But this one is a perfect for general use...for the live performance vocalist to use while singing, for example. It's very lightweight and the handle makes it easy to hold and play.
