Fat, raw and bluesy but with just the right amount of bite to cut through. Positions 2 and 4 on the pickup selector deliver classic quack but with a thicker tonality. An amazing guitar for both clean and distorted tones with enough twang for surf, but thick enough for rock.

Custom Pickups
Reverend designs their own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with our instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching.

Korina Body
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.

Bass Contour
This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips.

Pin-lock Tuners
A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.

Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo
Features include saddles that lock to the baseplate, adjustable arm swing tension, and a push-in/no freeplay arm. Combined with a graphite nut and pin-lock tuners, it stays in tune even under aggressive whammy action.

Graphite Nut
Reverend uses a graphite impregnated nut on all their instruments. Graphite reduces friction, allowing the strings to easily slide through the nut slots, improving tuning stability.

Comments about Reverend Jetstream 390 Electric Guitar:

Reverend makes high quality instruments at affordable prices. Their guitars look, sound, feel, and play amazingly well. I researched many different guitars before settling on the Jetstream 390. If you have yet to give Reverend a look, take a closer look. Reverend's guitars have features that are usually found on guitars costing at least twice as much as their instruments (Korina wood, custom pickups, locking tuners, graphite nut, Wilkinson tremolo, etc.).

My main guitar, up to the purchase of my Reverend, was a Fender American Deluxe H.S.S. Strat. This is a great guitar, but my Jetstream 390 blows it away. If I could purchase another guitar, I would purchase a Revered product in a second.

    About Me Experienced

Comments about Reverend Jetstream 390 Electric Guitar:

I was very optimistic about the guitar. Sadly, it plays rather stiff. The neck and action remind me of a G&L ASAT tribute that sells for half the price; and other Korean/Indonesian guitars that are not too resonant.

The pickups sound good to me, but the lack of resonance in the wood takes away from the pickups.
The Wilkinson Trem is also pretty good.

This is sort of billed as a Fender Jazzmaster clone. But you can get a Jazzmaster Green lacquer for about the same price, with a case or gig bag. The Fender is a better guitar. For about a hundred shekels less, you can get a DiPinto Galaxie 4. The DiPinto is also a better guitar than this Reverend, for less money.

In short, Reverend overreached by pricing this at almost 900 shekels. This guitar would have been a fair deal at 500-600 shekels. After this disappointment, I would need to be very impressed before I buy another Reverend.
