All RB Continental cases feature a Ballistic Quadraweave exterior, quilted "double helix" velvet interior, high-strength corded edges and seams, and double-stitched with high tensile thread and reinforced at tested stress points. This RB Continental Electric Bass Case has a thick shock-absorbing Flexoskeleton with reinforced impact panels, a neck brace suspension system with an adjustable locking security strap, and rubberized foam headstock grip. The adjustable, padded hideaway backpack straps makes travelling with this beauty a breeze. Each case is reinforced at tested stress points and double stitched with extra-strength high tensile thread. A knurled abrasion grid on the top and bottom resists scuffing, and interior pads at the headstock and endpin provide long lasting protection. The case is finished with custom plated hardware, including industrial strength zippers and a Zero-G palm-contoured handle with weight distributing foam core for unsurpassable longevity and comfort.

...that when that was stolen getting another was a no-brainer. It's so well thought out, from the backpack straps to the little inverted pocket-handle in back (a convenient grab spot to move it a short distance) and the ring to hang it from a wall hook. Solid zippers (I've had the pull tags bend and break off cheap bags, these tags look cast, not stamped) and good accessory capacity in external pockets and sleeves. It reeks of attention to detail and quality materials. It may seem a little bulky at first, but unlike a hard case it's quite light and won't damage other articles around it. But the main thing is that it is convincingly bomb-proof. I totally buy the 4-storey drop-test video: can't imagine a rigid case offering that kind of shock absorption and impact protection. And that's the bottom line - protect the axe.
The gig bag is light weight and protects my bass. The two most important things. I am 6' 2" tall. If the back straps had been sewn on right below where the zipper that hides the straps is,(which is higher on the bag),it would have lowered the over all height of the top of the bag when I wear it on my back. As it is, I can not safely wear it while walking through a music store, because it hits the hanging guitars. Or I can not wear it on my back while I walk through doors. The zipper that goes underneatrh the bottom of the base goes to far if you ask me. It is hard to get at it without having to lift the guitar in the case way up, or over to the side to open it, or put the guitar back in the case. It is hard to get things in and out of the front pocket, since it has a lip to cover the zipper. I waited two weeks to get the bag from Guitar Center since they sent it fourth class mail. Finally after 16 days I called to ask where it was. They UPSed me another one. I had to pay half for shipping that way. I like the padded straps for carryibng the bag, They are comfortable. It is a lightweight bag.
I've only had this for two weeks so I can't comment on its longevity, but so far, this is the best case I've ever owned. It has the stiffness of a hardshell case and the portability of a gig bag. It will stand up without flopping over so it's quick & easy to stash my bass between sets and not have to worry about someone knocking over the stand. Two gripes: I wish the front pocket were an inch deeper, and, I wish I had another one.
This case gives me peace of mind. The keys are protected from bumps and bangs, so it stays in tune. If I lean it against the wall and it gets knocked over... no worries. The accessory capacity is good. The zippers are sturdy. It looks professional and the handle is padded and placed for excellent balance. Bottom line, this is a terrific case with quality throughout. Highly recommended.
I got one of these for my acoustic gutar when they first came out, and I am glad I did every time I go out the door with it. Recently got one for my fretless bass. It is so much easier to travel to gigs with this bag, than the big heavy cases. Furthermore, these bags are very well made and offer excellent protection. Just go to the Reunion Blues website for a demo. Another nice feature is the extremely comfortable handle. When carrying a couple instruments and a gig bag full of gear, it is nice to nit have the case handle torture your hands. This bag is a winner.
This case exceed my expectations. I play a Gibson Thunderbird 5 String Bass and I always hated the heavy wood case that comes stock with it. I knew i wanted to get a case that beyond the normal gigbags, a case that has the comfort weight of a gigbag and reliability of a hardshell case. So i chose the RB Continental. Since my bass isnt the normal shape of a bass I was skepical whether it would fit the case at all, so i called up guitar center near me, and asked if they could see how my bass would fit, and it did. The price didnt bother me at all, i knew what i wanted, and that in the end the case would last for 30 years. The features of this case is top notch stuff, from the pick holders, to the strap and cord holders, I feel like i can put everything in it. The backpack feature is really nice. The quality of the case is super nice, and its water resistant. If there was anything bad about this i would say it, but there isnt anything at all.
You couldn't destroy this thing if you tried, im not kidding. When i first got my Warwick Corvette standard i knew i need something to protect it but this is like tank. i could throw this off a cliff and my bass wouldn't have a scratch on it. Great GREAT buy
