Reunion Blues RB Continental Mandolin Case (107452732)
Availability:

All RB Continental cases feature a Ballistic Quadraweave exterior, quilted "double helix" velvet interior, high-strength corded edges and seams, and double-stitched with high tensile thread and reinforced at tested stress points. This mandolin case has a thick shock-absorbing Flexoskeleton with reinforced impact panels, a neck brace suspension system with an adjustable locking security strap, and rubberized foam headstock grip. The adjustable, padded hideaway backpack straps makes traveling with this beauty a breeze. Each case is reinforced at tested stress points and double stitched with extra-strength high tensile thread. A knurled abrasion grid on the top and bottom resists scuffing, and interior pads at the headstock and endpin provide long lasting protection. The case is finished with custom plated hardware, including industrial strength zippers and a Zero-G palm-contoured handle with weight distributing foam core for unsurpassable longevity and comfort.

  • So impressed with this case!

As reviewed by Todd McKernan on 2/15/2013

So I actually work for GC in Murrieta, CA. I deal with cases all the time. One thing I've learned about myself is that I vastly prefer gig bags to cases for a couple reasons. A) Way easier to transport, they have a bit of give and cushioning that that hard shell's don't. B) Way easier to store, you can easily stack them without too much worry its going to create an avalanche of destruction. C) When you're doing a gig, they make setting up and tearing down quicker and easier. Many of them have convenient pockets, handles, straps, etc. D) This is maybe the best reason, THEY'RE WAY LESS HEAVY! So those are the advantages of using bags over shells. Now onto this little gem. This is the first Reunion Blues I've ever laid my hands on, we don't carry them in the store so I never had a chance to. I must say it was worth the money. This thing is insanely protective! The mandolin basically floats inside it. There's a big bump of cushioning on the bottom to raise of the mandolin from any stress points. The neck brace is awesome, strap it in and protect the weakest part of the instrument. The exterior is something out of a sci-fi movie. My first impression was literally "It's like Batman's suit". It seems fairly indestructible. There's a ton of padding. You get a million pockets (at least it seems like it). There's these nifty backpack straps that you can pull out of this weird pocket on the back. The zippers are really heavy duty, to be honest I don't think I've ever seen zippers this nice. Everything is like triple reinforced. I'd be willing to place money on this case versus any hardshell out there that this would hold up better. GET THIS THING. I'm in the process of getting rid of all my shells and replacing them with bags like this.
