This unyielding electric guitar case is the result of painstaking research and today's latest technology.

The Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case is made from a water-resistant, two-tone black, ballistic exterior that surrounds a lightweight Flexoskeleton protection system with 1" high-density, dual layer foam and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) impact panels that offer enough protection to survive a 40' drop without so much as a nick or scratch. RB Continental actually tried it and when the guitar inside emerged unscathed, they did it again for good measure and the results were the same.

Inside the RB Continental guitar case are loads of state-of-the-art features like a Blue Diamond velvet-tuck interior lining, a solid-cell neck brace suspension system, and thick Softmesh-lined side panels to cradle the instrument in a scuff-proof cocoon. With its roomy exterior pockets (including a reinforced laptop-compatible exterior multi-pocket), four inner accessories pockets, a Zero G palm-contoured handle, hideaway backpack straps, and an adjustable, locking security strap, RB Continental guitar cases are designed for rough handling.

  • Ultimate Protection!

As reviewed by Cal Thomas on 6/14/2010

This gig bag provides the ultimate in protection. The protection of this case rivals hard cases. Before this gig bag, I owned an InCase gig bag, and the Reunion Blues Continental borrows a lot from that design. the Reunion case is solidly built and provides a little more padding for your instrument, as well as an interior that is probably easier on the guitar's finish. The neck padding and velcro-secured neck stabilizer ensure the guitar's neck is stabilized in the case. The outside pockets give me room for books, a tuner, extra strings and other essentials. The padded carrying handle is comfortable, and while sturdy, the case is not heavy. This is a first-class gig bag and while the price is a bit above the price of run of the mill bags, it is actually cheaper than the InCase gig bags and provides as much protection and the neck stabilization feature gives me more peace of mind.

  • Ultimate GigBag!

As reviewed by Ryan Long on 10/22/2012

This bag is EXACTLY what I was looking for... I've had it for a few weeks now and it surely has proven itself. I play guitar for my university marching band, so we're outside in the elements for all of our rehearsals and performances. When we went out of town and my guitar got wet because the rain and wet ground soaked through my previous gig bag, that's when I decided it was time for an UPGRADE. This case is a hybrid hardshell case and gig bag. The padding and protection makes me feel very secure about guitar, and if you haven't watched the company's "drop test" look it up! The 'ballistic' exterior keeps the rain OUT and my guitar stays dry as a bone. It's proven this a number of times already. I am a music student and professional musician so I need mobility and protection. The back pack straps are what I use most and they are very comfortable, as well as the padding on your back. The side handle has got to be the most comfortable guitar case handle I've ever gripped lol there's extra padding at the top and bottom of the case to protect your headstock and body. They've recently added a second rubber panel above the bridge/strings area which is sweet. The neck stabilizer is a dream. The main exterior pocket is perfect for your ESSENTIALS (a small music book/binder (it doesn't fit my real book), cable, picks, tuner, strings, etc.) so if you're looking for a bag that has a lot of accessory storage as well, this probably isn't the one... I feel like I've been rambling. I've been bragging about this bag since I got it. I will probably buy one for the rest of my guitars including my acoustics and bass and if you have similar needs to mine I recommend you do the same! It's worth the money to protect your more cherished instruments!!

  • Better than a hard case.

As reviewed by Ed Deiaco-Lohr on 8/3/2012

I've had this case for several years now. I have a custom built Carvin synth guitar that came with a nice suitcase-style case. I found that the hard case offered a lot of protection, but continually fell over by design. Enter the Reunion Blues case. I did not know much about it when I bought it. I bought it from GC strictly on the basis of my examination in the store. I have a number of gig-bag type cases and this was definitely miles apart from them. It is lightweight, stiff enough to hold its own, and super padded inside. If you have seen the video of the drop from their warehouse, take it from me, it is more than believable. My studio was on the third floor of my last home and pulling gear down two flights of steps was a real pain. No, I DID NOT throw it out the window, but I did let it slide down the steps all the time with no regret. It's not cheap, but I can truly say it's worth the price. I definitely prefer this over a hard case. The case is loaded with features, pockets and convenient handles. I particularly like the "subway handle" that helps you move in and out of tight spaces with ease. As far as reliability, I've had it several years and zippers, stitching and material all are in great shape. That's taking it out pretty much twice a week for years. I'm writing this review because I'm getting ready to buy one for another guitar.
