Just DO NOT - I repeat , DON"T use regular wood tipped sticks -New Nylon Tips will not do any damage if kept in perfect cond.- ! year , same sticks , only sticks. I do not see any difference across the entire surface and if gently cleaned occasionally - Mine appear brand new . Litterally 1000's of hours

        Comments about Remo Silentstroke Drumhead:

Used these to do a mesh head conversion on my Alesis DM8 Pro kit. These are much quieter, and the rebound feels great to me. They are fairly see through, so keep that in mind. I haven't had them on long enough for a durability test, but so far, so good.

        Does what it''s supposed to!

        By BILL

        from Simi Valley, CA

        Comments about Remo Silentstroke Drumhead:

I bought the 10 inch to put on my M-80 snare with the intention of using it for practice and with a trigger to run through my Simmons SDMP1. I just got it and I'm very impressed with the ability to "tune" it, or tension it really, to a nice tight surface. Also I'm impressed with the low low volume coming off it; in my opinion it's quitter than a practice pad (I put felt around the snares too). I have not tried it with a trigger yet. I agree with the 2 positive reviews before me and will try the tuning that was suggested! Very good quality from Remo on this product and I believe it will last a long time and I'll write back with any problems, but so far it does what it's supposed to do, very well.

        so far so good!

        By CHRISTOPHER ZAPOR

        from San Diego

        Comments about Remo Silentstroke Drumhead:

I've only had these heads on my kit for about three weeks now, and so far they've held up just fine. I'll admit that I'd feel better if these were a double ply though. Remo makes the heads for Roland, which are a two ply, so why not put out their own? unless there's some kind of copyright or patent deal going on there... anyway, so far they're working out just fine, and I'm a pretty heavy hitting guy!

        SilentStroke Review

        By raven r

        from Tacoma, WA

        Comments about Remo Silentstroke Drumhead:

These drumheads are really quiet and have a good feel to them when playing. If you watch some videos online where people play these, you may think you're hearing the heads but you're actually hearing the bottom drumhead being vibrated by hitting the top head. If you're going for a quiet drum kit, tighten your regular resonant heads, and tune these loose to medium on top, then buy some zildjian gen 16 cymbals.
