No wonder John Bonham uses these!!! they are an amazing upgrade from the heads that originally came on my drum kit and i am going to stick with these. I hit very hard and they have not even dented in the several months I have had them and when I do eventually break them (if ever) I will without hesitation buy new ones.

when i bought this head a few months back i was excited, i have used remo since i started playing drums about 5 years ago but i was dissapointed at the lack of bounce this head had and how much it seemed to dampen the crack of the snare. if you hate that crack and want absolutely no overtones (which i actually want to a certain degree) then this is the head for you but if your like me a remo ambassador is a better choice

These are the best sounding tom heads of all. If you're looking for that thick warm resonate rubbery sound with great attack like... Dooooh! Killer. Great for all styles of music. Stage and Studio.

These heads give me extreme clarity from my DW drums. It also provides great attack as well with the vintage sound.

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:

I haven't used these heads in years....I forgot what I was missing! They tuned up quick. I have tried probably every head on the market and still....the Remo Emperor is the BEST! Not going back to any other!

Reme= better sound out of drums

          By Domokos Hadnagy

          from Colorado Springs

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:

Remo heads are by far the best heads ever! I replaced my old Evans G1 head with this head. The Evans head sounds tinny and isn't durable. This head works great and makes my poplar drums sound like maple drum. This head makes your drums sound so full of sound and is amazing to mic. They sound amazing with a mic, and need no eq or compression.

          Great head!!

          By Baby Jables

          from New Rochelle, NY

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:

Just switched over from the Emperor clears to this head and i'm really loving it! Its alot more durable than the emperor clears and tunes alot easier. I have found that the feel is more bouncy than the clears. Anyway, this is a great upgrade from any head you might have and will last you a very long time

          It's a matter of taste

          By Luis Suarez

          from Monterrey, NL

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:

This heads are pretty good. They are very long lasting, mines are 2 yo and they aren't dented and the sound is still even. The only complain that I have about them is that the tone that you get out of them isn't warm enough for my taste, also I added some tape over it to control the overtones that it produces. I'm into full tone and completely against dampening rings, that is why these heads are not made for me, you'll need to add a little dampening if you want a good sound out if them. I highly recommend this heads, but if you want a warmer and more controlled sound you better go for the Evans Hydraulic(they don't need any kind of dampening!!!), they are the best heads out there.

          Buy these.

          By Jonathon

          from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:

I'm no Portnoy, but I understand good and bad noise. These babies are freaking fantastic. I have them over some clear Ambassadors, and they sound amazing. You'll get a very deep boom with minimal sustain, and no annoying overtones. (Get some Remo RemOs Tone Control Rings to get rid of this if practicing solo, but don't forget sustain's necessary if you're not mic'd!) These also bounce like no other and'll have you rolling like Moon in no time. They're quite diverse too. The sound's ideal for vintage metal, but'll fit well into classic rock without being too aggressive. I'd buy 'em again, and probably will!
