Remo's Ebony Pinstripe heads are made with two (5- and 10-mil) Mylar plies with a measured layer of a ring-reducing agent applied between them at the outer edge of their trademark stripe to dampen high-frequency overtones for warm resonance. Ebony Pinstripe's quick decay makes them ideal heads for the "fat" sounds of rock and R & B and for those who want more low end sounds with moderate attack and response characteristics.
This Remo ProPack set includes 12", 13", and 16" Ebony Pinstripe drumheads. Also included is a 14" Coated Pinstripe snare head.

My son tried these heads on a 22-year-old CB-700 kit I gave him, and when I played them on his kit they sounded terriffic. I bought some as a Christmas present to myself for my newer Pearl Exports, and they brought the resoponse and tone I was looking for to that kit as well. They tuned nicely in a snap. I prefer a deader sound, no over-ring or heavy sustain, so I don't reccommend them to someone looking for an open, jazzy sound. These heads are suited for people who don't have a ton of time to tune drums but want a great sound. And they look great, for what that's worth. I like them, and will probably buy them again.
These heads are amazing! I just put them on my wine red pearl export series kit and they look awesome. They also sound good, and have a controlled sound. They do not ring as much as many other heads and the sound they produce is clear and crisp. I highly recommend these heads to anyone who's looking to buy new ones. The snare head that came with mine is a Emperor X reverse dot head. That isn't the one advertised in the picture but i am very happy with it, it sounds great! Awesome heads remo!
Love these guys! Very nice dark tones real earthy sound also have a clean smooth look
These heads have an awesome deep tone that is perfect for rock drumming. It delivers a great attack and over tone. The snare head, however has a bad after tone, but can be easily fixed with some RemO's. I cannot recommend these heads enough.
I have played Ebony Pinstripes for years. They are by far a superior product that produces quality tones. Plus the price is right on the ProPack.
These heads are amazing! It's a big step up from my stock, single-ply heads. I still use the moongels to make the overtones even shorter. I have a friend who also has these heads, and he recommended them to me and I'm glad I bought them!
These are extremely good heads. These give a very nice deep tone that is perfect for a harder rock song. I put these on my Tama Superstar set and it sounds amazing. These also have nice projection on stage, I thought that they would be too low for stage but these still project out. One downside is that seeing as how they are black, you can see marks from sticks easly; but it doesn't affect sound at all. Also it comes with an Emperor X snare head, which is the best snare head I've ever heard.
