Nice "Beatles" style drum head...good sound, excellent quality!
This head is not designed for metalheads or even rock music. This head is designed for A) A very boomy open sound with longer sustain, i.e. jazz. B) Marching basses also use this head often. Don't use this head if all you are going to do is double bass and beat the crap out of your kick!
I bought this bass head only about two months ago and in the middle of playing my beater went clear through the head. How disappointing. A bass head should last way more than two months. This just proves how poor of quality this head is. I played the Aquarian Super Kick for over a year and a half and it's still in way better condition than my Ambassador. I will never buy another Remo head again.
