Remo for President

These are awesome heads! I have them as the resonant heads on my toms (a la John Bonham) and they sound great, there is no annoying overtones or ringing and they sound sweet on my snare.

Awesome Drumhead

This is a great head. It is a single ply coated head, similar to the Evans G1 Coated. I haven't used it on toms, but it goes great on a snare. This head on the batter side with your choice of a snareside head is awesome. You can get a great sound out your drum. It does have some ring to it, but that's just the drum's resonance. You could dampen it if you want. Overall, this is a wonderful drum head for your snare and probably for your toms as well.

REMO'S ARE KING!

First, Do NOT settle for cheap heads. Second, Remo's are a great blend of toughness/balance/value. All around you can not get better than the Ambassador's, I think they are the best coated head. For heavy drumming, Evan G1's don't hold up.

Great... except coating

These heads produce a great warm, open full bodied tone from my toms and snare. the problem is that the coating is awful and coems off after only a few hours of playing. that's why i would reccomend the evans g1 coated heads, their coating tends to last much longer than Remo's.

Best Heads Ever

The Remo Weatherking Coated Ambassadors are the best heads I've ever played on. They get a warm, bright sound, without being to dark or muffled. They are great for playing brushes or sticks. I have them on all my toms and my snare on my pdp kit with ZBT's. These heads aren;t as durable as their emperor counterparts, but they get much better sound.
