  • Remo Powerstroke 3 Clear Bass Drumhead

    When I bought an early 1980's Slingerland Drumkit, my only complaint was the flat bass drum sound. Replacing the original head with a 22" Remo Powerstroke 3 woke the sound right right up. The volume and clarity were both increased dramatically, and each hit was boomy with nice high end definition on each hit. Removing the front bass drum head completely, I set a couple of pillows inside of it, and it sounded great on my 8-track home recordings. The bass drum presence was nice and defined, and cut through the mix without being overbearing. This is a very aggressive drum head, and if you're looking to upgrade your skins, although this is only my opinion, this is much better than Remo's ever-popular Pinstripe series.

  • Awesome head, great deep bass, powerful kick!!

    I had a Remo Pinstripe before this and it was decent. It felt decent to play with my DW 5000 Accelerator pedals but when I bought my 2nd bass drum I decided to try something else so I gave the Powerstroke 3's a shot and wow!! I wish I went w/this head right away and never even bother with the Pinstripe before this. My bass drums now sound so much deeper. I have 22" bass drums and they sound bigger adn deeper with these heads. Great Sound!!

    I was playing the EQ4 from Evans and my IRon Cobras didn't seem to like it...no...but my Iron Cobra's bounce beautifully off these heads....and it sounds so deadly......I've finaly found the best bass head available
